SUPPLY CHAIN UPDATES

Outside of new technology, the supply chain has been an ongoing issue

in

the aerospace industry for many years. Schaefer said, “We are still in a supply chain challenge, and are not back to where we were pre-COVID.” However, he thinks they are seeing more stability in certain areas and have made major efforts to communicate with vendors to solve problems. “It is going in the right direction,” he said.

LATIN AMERICA GROWTH

Bell has built a large Bell 505 community in Latin America, which also comes with support/maintenance. They have about a dozen customer service partners there

Last is the question of legacy aircraft: whether to maintain older aircraft longer or buy new ones? Customers tend to keep the aircraft longer in many cases due to the “unique operational profile, which is the backbone of the Bell fleet worldwide,” Schaefer said. They will also support legacy aircraft and will provide upgrade kits. Bell will buy used aircraft to part them out, although many of those parts are used to support CAP customers, and they also support Boeing’s effort for Bell

and Schaefer cited the aircraft’s ease of maintenance. “Through a system of customer service and authorized maintenance facilities, Bell delivers reliable, around-the-clock support that builds trust and confidence. This infrastructure strengthens the ownership experience and distinguishes the Bell 505’s versatility, while cultivating long- term customer relationships that lead to repeat sales, new sales and customer upgrades.”

SUPPORT FOR LEGACY AIRCRAFT

412 teardowns. They will also overhaul and inspect parts to ensure they are “used, serviceable material.”

IN SUMMARY

Schaefer and his team communicate a consistent message regarding new technology and legacy programs. Their customer service support takeaway is that they are conversing with customers and listening to ensure Bell provides support based upon customers’ desires. That includes new technologies like AI, VR, a consolidation of technical publications, and content via a new podcast.
