COMMANDANT GREGOIRE

Commandant Gregoire believes in leading from the cockpit. He joined the air and space force in 2008, finished studies in 2011, and became a helicopter pilot after training on the TB30 Epsilon.

After earning his wings in 2015, Gregoire flew the AS555 Fennec with EH 3/67 Parisis and later the H225M Caracal with EH 1/67 Pyrénées. With 2,750 flying hours—that includes over 2,000 hours on the Fennec—Gregoire still flies operationally to stay connected with his crews, believing leadership means sharing the mission, not just overseeing it.

MEN, MACHINES, AND MISSION

Gregoire commands EH 3/67 Parisis, leading 120 personnel and 12 AS555 Fennec

helicopters, including pilots, engineers, gunners, and support staff.

“Our missions include air defense, sovereignty, search and rescue, and support flights for liaison and training,” he says.

This flexibility defines the Parisis ethos. The squadron’s technical skill and adaptability ensure readiness for any task, from air policing to VIP transport to training.

DEFENDING THE SKIES ABOVE PARIS

EH 3/67 Parisis, based at Villacoublay near Paris, is vital to France’s air security, with helicopters guarding sensitive airspace and providing rapid response alongside fighter jets.

The Fennec fleet is always on around- the-clock alert, ready to intercept or assist any potential air threat to Paris within minutes.

“Paris is unique,” says Gregoire. “We must be ready for anything—from air policing at major events to emergency support. Our crews work with precision and discretion.”
