HIROSE has introduced the FH52 series, a family of fl at fl exible cable/fl at printed circuit (FFC/FPC) connectors which meet the requirements of automotive and other applications, including industrial control equipment and medical devices.


The connector housing incorporates a robust locking structure ensuring the actuator cannot be removed even under rough operating conditions. The rotating actuator is supported by the tips of the contacts to form a strong hinge point rather than relying on the walls of the housing.


The wide 110° opening of the actuator allows easy insertion of the FFC/FPC into the connector. ‘Side catchers’, are provided to hold a tabbed FFC/FPC in place: this retains the connector temporarily, helping the assembler to guide it accurately into place. A fi rm and clear tactile click confi rms that correct locking of the FFC/FPC has been achieved, ensuring a stable and reliable connection is made.
