Lindner strengthens WashTec business

Lindner Group has decided that its Lindner WashTech business will now exclu- sively focus on plastics recycling washing technology. Up until now, it had been additionally supplying shredders to customers. The Lindner- Recyclingtech business will continue its focus on shredder technology. The change means that

Lindner WashTech, based in Spittal an der Drau, Austria, will have an independent engineering department for R&D and system planning. It will now also be responsible for the sales and service of

washing systems. “These measures put us in a good position to meet the major challenges of plastics recycling in the next few years,” said Lindner CEO Manuel Lindner. Lindner Group said the volume of orders it has

received in the current fiscal year is exceeding its expectations. It said its shredders and washing systems for post-consumer plastics are in great de- mand, thanks to the EU’s Circular Economy initiative and China’s import ban making more material available for recyclers. “Like all Lindner divisions, we will continue to focus on

developing new products,” said Harald Hoffmann, Managing Director of Lindner WashTech. The division has in recent times developed wet shredders and rafters for pre-washing. It added that its presence

at the major IFAT exhibition in Munich in May “was a resounding success for the Lindner Group”. www.lindner-washtech.com

Erema Group said its sales grew more than 10% to €155m in 2017/18. In its core business Engineering Recycling, producing plastics recycling lines and equipment, sales increased 18% to €144m. There was growth in all three markets – post-consumer, in-house and industrial and bottle recycling – around the world, it said. A total of over 40 Erema process- ing systems were shipped in the 12

months up to the end of March 2018. In autumn 2017 the 200th Vacurema system was sold to a client in Venezuela. The first Vacurema Inline Preform system to be sold was another highlight. Erema’s Pure Loop business, found- ed in 2015, had “a very successful business year with turnover growing by more than 30%”, said the group. Sales also rose at 3S and UMAC. www.erema.com
