NEWS Haitian’s H1 sales jump by 30.5%
Haitian International Holdings reported group sales of €650.2m in the first six months of 2017. The Hong Kong-based injection moulding machine maker said this was a 30.5% increase from the first half of 2016 and its net profit increased by 43.6%. “The reasons for what is so far the best result in the company’s history are a combination of the essential components for success: market plus strategy plus product,” said the company. In China, Haitian made record sales of €457.1m,
which represents an increase of more than 29% compared to the first half of 2016. Export sales of €179.7m was an annual increase of more than 33%. The electric series of
Haitian’s Zhafir Plastics Machinery brand experi- enced annual growth of
more than 55% in terms of quantities and sales. In the first six months, nearly 1,200 units left its factories. The two-platen Haitian Jupiter plus Series experienced a sales growth of more than 41% compared to the previous year, which corresponds to nearly 400
units sold. In the first six months of
2017, there was a 30% increase for the group’s best-selling servo-hydraulic Mars Series both in the number of units and turnover. More than 15,000 units were sold. �

Meusburger merges operations in China
Mould components manufacturer Meusburger has merged its operation in China with the Chinese business of PSG. The resulting company Meus- burger Mould and Die (Wuxi) has been a legal entity since 1 September. Meusburger acquired German hot runner specialist PSG last year. Meusburger and PSG jointly ob-
tained new office spaces in the summer and set up a 250m2
warehouse. Meusburger opened a sales branch
in Wuxi in 2010 and PSG has had representation in China since 2015. “Many customers have their location in the Wuxi region and also more than half of the turnover in China is earned here,” said Meusburger.
“Enormous synergies can be used
through the merger of Meusburger and PSG: the majority of the customers are relevant for both Meusburger and PSG.”
Supplies from the new warehouse can be dispatched to anywhere in China within two working days. �
