Integrated interfaces optimise communication between the controller and injection moulding machine, enabling faster error detection, analysis and feedback. The standard controller range is up to 120 zones. In addition, Airtect plastic leak alarm systems
provide protection for hot runner systems or injection nozzles. Users receive instant feedback from the direct protected area in the form of an alarm or suspension of production, helping minimise damage and downtime.

Polyplastics will introduce a new polyetherketone (PEK) resin at NPE.
Sarpek is an advanced material for metal
replacement and applications requiring the highest heat resistance of any injection mouldable resin without requiring post-curing. The company says it has higher heat resistance than Peek – offering the durability and strength to replace metals in harsh environments. It has a melting point of 370°C and a glass transition temperature of 155°C. It is available in unreinforced grades along with 30% glass-filled and 30% carbon fibre-filled grades. It will also showcase Durafide PPS 6150T73, for electric vehicles. The material delivers hjigh heat resistance and thermal and electric insula- tion properties for busbars, module covers, and battery systems in electric and hybrid vehicles. It raises thermal and electric insulation properties during thermal runaway without using heavy inorganic insulative sheet structures. It maintains the insulation properties of busbars and module covers even after expo- sure to environments of 1,000°C for 30 minutes.

Rinco Ultrasonics will introduce its next-genera- tion standard series of ultrasonic welders, available in 20, 35 and 70kHz frequencies. The models have been upgraded with enhanced pneumatics and user-friendly features. “This elevates pneumatically driven ultrasonic welding to a new level, pushing the limits of what our customers can achieve,” said Serge Patamia, CEO of Rinco Ultrasonics. The standard series line – for industries including the automotive, medical and packaging – offers updated pneumatics, including the latest safety standard features such as position monitoring of the ultrasonic stack. Models offer permanent audit trails, allowing users to track system errors and adjustments. To ensure quality and traceability, events and changes to the parameters are automatically stored in an audit trail protocol.

The Sepro S5-25 Speed – a robot for fast-cycling injection-moulding – will be seen at NPE. A more powerful servo motor and gear box on the horizontal (X) axis, resulting in 63% faster acceleration and faster overall cycle times, are among design improvements made since the model’s original introduction in 2019. The top-entry configuration allows for a smaller moulding-cell footprint compared to side-entry robots – which are often used in high-speed applications. It is aimed at simple packaging applications like flowerpots, thin-wall food containers and tubs. The S5-25 Speed is also equipped with Sepro’s
new Eco Air feature, which reduces compressed-air requirements for vacuum part gripping by as much as 85%. Instead of using compressed air continu- ously – as had been the practice in the past – the Eco Air system monitors vacuum levels and initiates
