MiVue will show new, expanded capabilities for its plant monitoring software for plastics processors at NPE. The software offers connectivity with a broad range of ancillary equipment, including loss in weight lenders, conveyors, granulators and chillers. Recently added features and modules will also be shown, including: job report module for lot tracking and quality accountability; material usage module to track manufacturing material assets and cost; and preventative maintenance module to ensure proper maintenance schedules are followed unique for each machine type.

Digital manufacturing connection kits give plastics plant managers more insight into their equipment by providing robust production data, including material usage. Data-driven understand- ing of processes improves plastic processors’ uptime, reduces costs and improves service and maintenance operations, it says. The company’s cellular router connects mould- ing and extrusion machines with ancillary equip- ment through secure, encrypted data transmission. Featuring powerful analytics and cloud-based data storage, its software can be used on any web-ena- bled device. Users receive text and email alerts to keep processes running smoothly. MiVue says its software can deliver several benefits to processors, including: improved uptime, thanks to alerts that highlight problems; and reduced operational costs through better process insights. Connection kits can be installed with new equipment, retrofitted to older equip- ment or incorporated into custom system integra- tion projects. �
