CLEMENTINE HEARTS
PREP TIME 15 MIN. – COOK TIME 2 MIN. READY IN 17 MIN. + SETTING TIME – SERVINGS 6
4 clementines, peeled and segmented Toothpicks, as needed 1 cup milk chocolate chips
2 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes, chopped nuts, and/or sprinkles (optional)
STEP 1 Line a baking sheet with parchment. Cut off the bottom third of each clementine segment crosswise, on a downward angle from inner segment to outer segment, to form the shape of a half heart. Connect 2 segments at cut ends to form a full heart and pierce through the center of both segments with 1 toothpick to attach. Repeat with remaining segments (you should have about 20 hearts total). STEP 2 In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the chocolate chips in 30-sec. intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth. Carefully dip and coat the bottom half of each clementine heart. Set on parchment-lined baking sheet. If desired, sprinkle with any of the garnishes and then let chocolate set.
