MUSHROOM DAYS PREVIEW Growtime, stand 39
Growtime is an international manufac- turer of mushroom farm equipment based in Poland. The brand is aimed at solutions for farms to increase long term productivity and profitability. The most recognisable products are the mushroom picking trolleys, which according to the company, are its flags- hip products: “A number of non-stan- dard solutions which drastically increase the harvesting efficiency (up to 2.5 kg more mushrooms per 1m2 of growing surface) thanks to the automated up and down movement of the platform (elec- tric and hydraulic drives) and right-left movement (electric drives with constant speed stabilisation, but also within appropriate ranges) and the ease of har- vesting from the lower and upper shelf. The exceptionally high quality and dura- bility of the equipment, thanks to sop- histicated design solutions, minimise possible malfunctions and the cost of
servicing the equipment. The installa- tion process of the equipment, during which solutions are extensively adapted to the conditions at customer’s farms, includes considering the specific pack- aging of the market in question and a long operating time on a single battery charge. This reduces the frequency of the battery charging process and ensu- res no downtime as one charge at night is enough for several days of operation. High safety is possible thanks to several unique solutions on a global scale, which make them very friendly for the workers and the environment, while the design and implementation of a maximally ergonomic structure enables employees to work for significantly longer and with less physical effort.” In addition to the trolleys, Growtime offers many other sorts of equipment, like nets, shelving, scales and climate systems. According to Michał Kustusch,

“The company is characterised by continuous development of the offered products in close cooperation with growers and experts in the industry - it is to them that we owe many ideas, the implementation of which has allo- wed us to offer solutions to growers all over the world.”
GTL Europe, stand 29A + B
GTL Europe is a collaboration bet- ween companies long-established in the mushroom industry. Since 2013, GTL has supplied partial and com- plete turnkey projects in composting and mushroom growing worldwide. This has enabled GTL to become one of the market leaders. In recent years, the company has fully committed to developing efficient, labour-saving mushroom harvest solutions, explains Tom Peeters. “The tilting shelves, which we developed, have been successfully installed around the world over the last two years. It has resulted in eleven pro- jects in countries such as Canada and France, and also in the Netherlands. While the shelves were an excellent development, further improvements were required to fully optimise pac- king processes and the entire logistics process. The shelves are primarily a ‘tool’ to ensure good harvest results, but customers were also requesting solutions for post-harvest processes.

We have developed a mechanical solution that employs a fully automa- tic system to fill punnets and trans- port them to, for example, a packing hall. Previously, the mushrooms had to be manually removed from the belt and placed into punnets. This is no longer the case. The total concept is now absolutely as it should be, allo- wing growers to make further labour-savings. This is necessary, as the sector is crying out for personnel!” At the Mushroom Days in May, visitors to stand 29 a + b will be able to experience both excellent hos- pitality and an ‘island’ with GTL sys- tems - where they can see the latest techniques and solutions from GTL Europe.
