DME, stand 40

Dutch Mushroom Equipment has develo- ped in 20 years from a trading company - mainly buying and selling second hand mushroom equipment directly from farms to customers over the world - into a professional company which supplies worldwide offering a wide range of equipment from compost production to packing equipment and everything in between, according to the specifications of its customers. We also make it possible to build projects locally in cooperation with local labour and or companies with DME support. “During the initial contact, we try to get as much information as pos- sible from the customers so we can advise them properly and supply them with custom made equipment, from refurbis- hed second hand to brand new equip-

DMP is a highly specialised, turn-key supplier to the mushroom industry. “In order to save costs for our customers, many DMP products can be produced globally, as close as possible to the pro- ject site. In addition,, we support the use of local partners for various services, under DMP supervision. Our customers benefit from best of both worlds; DMP knowledge and experience, while saving costs by working with local partners”, says Ron Hegger, CEO of DMP. Recently, DMP started construction of a new mushroom farm for Austrian based Frutura Thermal Gemüsewelt, based on

the above concept. “This farm will grow organic brown and white mushrooms for the local market and is designed to be very energy effi- cient. Besides use of solar panels for generating electricity, the farm uses hot water from a natural source at 3500 m below the surface. This water is used for heating and sterilisation of the rooms, using a special system designed and sup- plied by DMP. As such, the farm will run without using any boilers so no gas, oil or other fossil fuel is needed.” According to Frutura Mushroom Manager Johannes Auer, the choice to work with

The VEC41 can be used for composting, growing and automatic watering, in Agaricus projects as well as with exotics. According to DMP, ‘the most practical controller in the industry’.

DMP was obvious; “Their technology and project approach with a full range of ser- vices and supplies were perfect for our needs. Besides this, the DMP VEC compu- ter was one of my prerequisites. I look forward to a fruitful and long lasting cooperation with DMP.” For more infor- mation, please contact Ron Hegger via rhegger@dutchmushroom.nl or visit stand 42 at the fair.

After the acquisition of CNC by Sun European Partners in 2020, we changed the meaning of the letters ‘CNC’ to ‘Circular Natural Compost’.” CNC employs approximately 350 people and has Dutch branches in Milsbeek, Moerdijk, Hedel and Heerewaarden. CNC, 70 years!

Exotic Mushrooms produces wood and compost substrates for the production of special mushroom varieties, such as shii- take and king oyster mushrooms. CNC is the only company in Europe to work with a bulk sterilisation system, which ensures

highly energy efficient and hygienic pro- duction of wood substrates. “With strong foundations built on 70 years of knowledge and experience, we are looking forward to building a fantastic future with the rest of the industry. To do this, we will focus on quality, sustainability, innovation and collaboration. We will kick off our 70th anniversary celebrations during the Mushroom Days event.” The milestone will be celebrated with personnel and business associates later this year.
