Pallav is a rock star, brilliant and a great guy to work with. Congratulations my friend. Facebook/Susan Moorhead

For five days, the thought leaders in student transportation gather for the best conference in our industry. This year was the best STN EXPO in my 17 years! I truly enjoyed networking with all the vendors and attendees this past week. Thank you to everyone who met with us at the TD Summit, the Green Bus Summit, attended our panel, VIP event, Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, and those who visited with us at our booth! Thank you to my team, our marketing department, and our on-site engineer! Thank you to all of those looking to be a part of the Safety Vision family! The Zūm team had a busy week at STN EXPO, the annual conference that welcomes leaders across the industry to explore ideas, connect with other professionals and share the latest advancements in safe, sustainable transportation. Highlights include several group sessions facilitated by Zum; the Green Bus Summit, where Pallav Prakash, Zum’s director of electrification program management, was named the 2024 Innovator of the Year; and a special session to share Zum’s process of transitioning Oakland Unified School District’s 74-bus fleet to 100 percent electric buses with V2G technology.” LinkedIn/Zūm
Ryan Gray’s “Editor’s Take” in the September 2023 issue looked at the causes behind increasing prices in the school bus industry. Read the full article at

I really enjoyed Ryan’s piece on school bus pricing in September last year. It does seem to me that the school bus manufacturers are taking liberties with pricing a little—some have more than doubled their margins? I was wondering if we are starting to see more com- petition in bids for school district RFPs with inflation easing? Henry Rayner/Ennismore Fund Management Ltd.
