Technical, professional knowledge and product information sharing are compatible for learn- ing when the message is clear. The intent is to inform and not solely endorse a product or brand. Authentic partnerships do not occur overnight, but allegiance to a shared vision enhances the partnership to develop. The authors of this article’s distinct relationship de-
veloped out of a common purpose to share information and nurture the opportunity to improve the transporta- tion safety of children with disabilities. Unequivocally, it is essential to acknowledge this partnership evolved out of trust and mutual interest to exchange information to benefit the safe transportation for children with disabili- ties. Our individual and combined passion for advocacy and the well-being of these children is a relentless pri- ority. We energize each other with a strong willingness to share ideas and accept that our differences of opinion were not deficits but a starting point to collaborate. It was apparent that our partnership and collaboration
was rooted in mutual respect, trust and transparen- cy. Our diverse opinions are regarded as a strength in
presenting to audiences and providing other interested individuals with an opportunity to share ideas. It is our goal to mentor others to partner to further benefit the safe transportation of children with disabilities. We recognize the significance of each partner’s role in
supporting safe transportation for children with disabil- ities. To do so, we treat each other with mutual respect in regard to our different roles. We maintain dependable communication and utilize shared decision-making techniques. We are both committed to supporting in- dividual and partnership success. When all is said and done we evaluate our success by audience approval and value a strong emerging professional friendship. ●
