Don’t Miss Out! A new study claims that New Jersey could cut $200 million in its annual school transportation costs by implementing several programs that have already been used successfully in other states. Read about the study at
stnonline.com/go/4p. Newly introduced legislation in New Jersey aims to extend alternative fuel tax credits and provisions that expired in 2017 and 2018. Among these provisions are the installation of alternative fuel vehicle refueling facilities. The extension would credit all property that

Catch Up on Industry News A Bendix Commercial Vehicle Solutions annual grant pro- gram further motivates company employees who are already volunteering to help nonprofit organizations. One program that is funded through Get Involved! is GiGi’s Playhouse, located in Lakewood, Ohio. Matt Lombardi, sales financial analyst at Bendix, submitted an application two years in a row to benefit the orga- nization, which is dedicated to providing education and other
services to children and families with Down’s syndrome. Read more at
stnonline.com/go/4q. Meanwhile, Bridgestone Americas, Inc. last month announced a 20 percent price increase on its Dayton brand
truck and bus radial tires that are sold in the U.S. The cost hike is effective immediately. Bridgestone already an- nounced a price increase for its Firestone brand truck and bus radial tires in February. Navistar reported its first quarter 2019 net income of $2.4 billion, a 28 percent increase compared to its first quarter
last year of $1.9 billion. A-Z Bus Sales announced its new brand identity, complete with a new logo and website, as part of the company expanding its market presence. Read more industry releases at
