For over 20 years, Scanfil
has partnered with ASMPT for its SMT production worldwide. This relationship and investment continue with the installation of the newest line at its 190,000 sq. ft. Atlanta, Georgia, facility. While Scanfil’s ASMPT line setup will be similar to its other facto- ries, the company has added two new ASMPT technologies — ASMPT Material Manager and WORKS Command Center — to further drive material manage- ment and workforce efficiency at its U.S.-based site. “Our PCB assembly is low- to
mid-volume, high-mix,” Ahola notes. “Changeovers, inventory management, and a high degree of automation are vital for efficiency —especially for competitiveness in the Americas.
