Precision Retention Knobs from TJ Davies

MANTUA, OH — With over 500 styles available, T.J. Davies Co., Inc., manufactures the industry’s broadest line of retention knobs. Each is manufactured from American-made 8620 alloy steel that is then machined in-house with single point threading to Imperial (Class 2A UNC) or Metric (Class G6) standards.

The use of 8620 ensures that

the components will harden over time, rather than become brittle as is the case with the use of 9310 alloy steel. Single point threading en -

sures that the threads are bal- anced (lead-in/lead-out at 180 degrees) which is very difficult to achieve when rolling threads. Full depth is also attained for each thread. Because all machining is done with a single set-up, concentric- ity is achieved. Each component is

Retention knobs. After threading is complet-

ed, each component is heat treat- ed to 58-62 HRC then treated with hot black oxide to military specifications for protection against corrosion. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and then pull tested to 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar it is designed for. Custom knobs for older machines that are no longer made are available.

heat treated. No carb is applied to coolant through hole to ensure there is no shrinkage. Core hardness of 40 HRC is standard. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces)

have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better, ISO grade 6N. Certifications are main- tained for each step and each batch to ensure traceability and

quality control. Contact: TJ Davies Co., Inc.,

Innodisk Introduces PCIe NanoSSD

FREMONT, CA — Innodisk has released the first nanoSSD PCIe 4TE3 in response to the increas- ing demands of edge AI minia- ture design and high computing performance.

up to 3.6 GB/s and a bandwidth of up to 8 GB/s catering to high speed computing needs. By employing a 12-nanome-

ter controller and a 112-layer 3D TDC NAND Flash, the nanoSSD PCIe 4TE3 performs optimized efficiency and reliability, as well as low power consumption and reduced heat energy, contribut- ing to a small footprint for sus- tainability. The PCIe 4TE3 comprises

PCIe nanoSSDs. Edge AI devices often

demand efficiency and substan- tial capacity within a minimal space and are positioned in rugged external environments. These devices installed at, for example, 5G base stations, aero- space and in-vehicle systems require a small size to save space in devices with large capacity to support AIoT applications. Innodisk’s nanoSSD PCIe

4TE3 emerges as a solution designed in M.2 type 1620 BGA form factor but with large capaci- ty reaching up to 1TB, which is suitable for the needs of space- limited devices and increasing design flexibility. Beyond this, the nanoSSD offers high perform- ance with a transmission speed of

Innodisk’s iSLC technology exten - ding its lifespan by 33 times to ful- fill high performance demands and the needs for embedded and most industrial applications, pro- viding high endurance and relia- bility.

Unlike conventional plugged-

in SSDs, the nanoSSD is solder- down and integrated onto the device motherboard against insta- bilities in outdoor environments, such as shaking and vibrations, ensuring uninterrupted signal and operation. At the same time, the circuit design is supported by pre-sales service, including a

design kit before integration. Contact: Innodisk USA
