high-volume in-circuit (ICT) testing, fixture-based or bed-of-nails testing has historically been the technology used, but fixtures are expensive and can take weeks to build. Recently, Green Circuits installed an APT-
1600FD-SL, a dual-sided flying probe tester with big board handling capability and a number of oth- er advanced features. This state-of-the-art tool al- lows Green Circuits to test double-sided and multi- layer PCBs more accurately and efficiently. For short production runs of various assem-
blies from different customers, for example, the fix- ture approach is too costly and time prohibitive. For this reason, Green Circuits, Inc., a full-service EMS partner to leading OEMs, based in San Jose, California, has been using flying probe testing sys- tems by Takaya to handle their testing for a num- ber of years, says Mark Evans, COO.
