Hello and welcome to the November/December issue of Tomorrow’s Retail Floors.
And just like that… it’s our final issue of the year. I know it’s something we hear on a daily basis as soon as it hits November, but are you even British if you don’t mention how quick the year has gone by? As we reach this time of year, most of the major industry events have been and gone and we have a good idea of what colours, designs and materials will be popular in the year ahead. Another key annual indicator of future trends is Dulux’s ‘Colour of the Year’, which has been announced as ‘Tranquil Dawn’ for 2020. To give you some inspiration, we’ve put together a spread of our favourite flooring picks so you can help your customers incorporate the sage green theme within their interiors.

Whilst this time of year is often positive for retailers, it can be a different story for those in the home interiors market as home renovations tend to take a backseat whilst consumers instead focus their funds on the festivities. Even for those wanting to spruce up their homes in time for Christmas guests, having the budget available to do so is another story. Now, as our special feature from payments specialist Duologi explains, there may well just be a way that these customers can have their cake and eat it too.
Elsewhere in the issue, we also have a focus on Floor Finishes & Aftercare and Living Areas. From everyone here at Tomorrow’s Retail Floors, we hope you all have a wonderful Christmas break and look forward to seeing you in the new year.
