REBRAND SPARKS POSITIVE GROWTH FOR HVAC SPECIALIST


2015 continues to be another momentous year for Daikin Applied (UK) Ltd and Daikin Applied Service, a technologically advanced heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions provider, as the team celebrates a successful rebrand combined with business growth.


COLLABORATION IS KEY Formerly known as McQuay (UK) Ltd


and McQuay Service, the rebrand under the Daikin Applied name has resulted in a progressive and innovative alliance of the product and service organisations.


From the large Daikin Applied (UK) facility in Cramlington, highly skilled engineers continue to manufacture a variety of air handling units and deliver project installations, whilst the European factory in Cecchina, Italy supply chillers and bespoke parts for refurbishment and retrofit projects. Meanwhile, the service and maintenance teams visit client based solutions to optimise energy efficiency and equipment life cycles.


Daikin is a very well-known and trusted brand name within the HVAC industry and is synonymous with expertise and excellence in engineering. Founded in Osaka, Japan by Akira Yamadain in October 1924, the company is highly regarded for the development of new, industry leading HVAC innovations and technology, and is now a Global Fortune 1000 listed company.

Daikin Applied Service provides a glimpse into how the rebrand has affected the business since the announcement in April:


“Since the name change, our business has benefited from the global brand of Daikin and has maintained McQuay’s core values. Being seen as part of the global brand Daikin, means that we are able to achieve instant recognition throughout the HVAC industry. The transition also impacts our way of doing business as we are progressing with Daikin’s global philosophies and forward thinking.


“The rebrand has allowed us to diversify and branch off into other business areas, enabling us to provide a “one-stop-shop” service for all HVAC requirements. For instance, we are experiencing further growth in the supply and installation of the Daikin branded A/C unitary equipment and, with the introduction of Paul Lewis to oversee business development of unitary sales, we now have a concentrated focus within this business sector. With Paul onboard, we have the confidence to succeed in delivering continued YOY growth in this area.
