WHAT’S NEW? A TIDY TABLETOP

SOLUTION Packaging specialist, 4 Aces has unveiled its latest product, tailored specifically for the tabletop vending market – the white, fliptop cup dispenser. Designed to counter mess and hygiene issues, the dispenser keeps cups tidy, releasing them one by one, without fuss or danger of cross-contamination.

The dispenser is inspired by the

packaging provider’s offering to the water cooler market and allows for a range of sizes of cups to be dispensed, making it an ideal product to have to hand when vending hot beverages.

Besides points of hygiene, sanitation and general tidiness, cup dispensers can be of great benefit to the

environment as, by controlling the amount of cups dispensed, they alleviate a lot of waste – environmentally and economically. Managing Director of 4 Aces, Chris Penn explained: “Part of our remit, at 4 Aces, is to plug any gaps in the market and to effectively deliver what the customer needs.

“We recognised that, when it comes to tabletop vending, cups aren’t always dispensed of properly; they’re often left scattered near the machines and can be discarded without having been used for their intended purpose, which means that there are further costs incurred to replace those cups and unnecessary waste issues involved for the operator too.”

REBRAND OF NOTTINGHAMSHIRE

ACADEMY Specialist contractor, Cladding Coatings has completed the external refurbishment, rebranding and renovation of the Dukeries Academy in Nottinghamshire during an extensive period of bespoke works.

The Academy Transformation Trust approached Cladding Coatings when it became clear that the existing, 1960’s education complex was not projecting the correct external image. Not only was a refurbishment of the buildings and facilities required to deliver the best environment for both students and

Full regeneration of the academy’s facilities was required to promote its image as a successful, proactive, and safe working environment for students and staff

alike. Therefore, the project comprised not only refurbishment construction works, but also a full rebrand of the academy’s image. This included a fully- revised colour scheme, which in turn formed the basis for the new logo.

To ensure brand cohesion academy wide, before beginning work on site, Cladding Coatings developed visual mock-ups – at no further cost to the client - of the rebrand and refurbishment. This allowed the Trust to fully visualise the results of the project to be certain they were fully satisfied before the work began. In addition to the digital mock-ups, on-site samples were also provided for approval, this

also allowed testing of the chosen coating system.

Cladding Coatings had to ensure that the project did not affect the operations of the Academy and ensure the safety of both the operatives and students alike.

“We have worked closely with Cladding Coatings to undertake a transformational piece of work addressing an outdated secondary academy with a particularly tired external building fabric. We worked closely with Mike and his team throughout an extremely easy design process, which enabled the academy to view different colour options and paint specification prior to agreeing the final brief” said Edward Thomas of Academy Transformation Trust.

With a broad scheme of works affecting all areas of the academy, it was necessary that the project was completed during school term time. Therefore, it was vital that the work did not have any negative impact on the students’ learning. The Trust and the contractor, thoroughly and carefully coordinated the works to ensure that the academy’s day-to- day operations were not affected by the project, and all classes could proceed as normal.
