CMD LTD PLAYS ESSENTIAL ROLE IN ELECTRICAL FIT OUT AT LONDON’S PRESTIGIOUS OFFICE


DEVELOPMENT CMD Ltd, a specialist in workplace connectivity and ergonomic solutions, has provided a fl exible and high- quality power distribution network for The Ray, a prestigious offi ce development in London’s Farringdon.


Well known for being the former site of The Guardian newspaper, The Ray now stands as an 83,000ft² offi ce development characterised by a modernised warehouse aesthetic, with level two now occupied by a global social media company.

CHIEFS DEAL Facilities management specialist Boden Group has won a new contract to manage the building facilities at The Sandy Park Stadium, home of Devon’s Premiership Rugby team, Exeter Chiefs.


Having supported the Chiefs for several years with its fi re and security systems, under the new contract, Boden will provide a package of services for scheduled and reactive maintenance at the site.

The electrical installation of level two for the social media company was carried out by contractor Moyne London, working for developer, Viridis Real Estate. The project began as a standard plug and play installation to take the power distribution network to workstations and a number of phone booth style meeting pods. After the hiatus of the pandemic and considering the company’s changing requirements to accommodate social distancing, the layout had to be restructured quickly and effi ciently.


Working collaboratively alongside Moyne London, CMD Ltd provided their 63A Betatrak underfl oor powertrack power distribution system, which includes a click fi t method for quick installation and a capacity to confi gure around bends and corners, which
