London cleans up
The Cleaning Show returns to ExCeL for 2019, promising a bigger and better show than ever before.
Here we are, gearing up for another Cleaning Show, the third one since it returned to London’s ExCeL back in 2015. Once again the show spans three days – 19 – 21 March 2019 – and will be packing out Hall S8 with the best that the cleaning and hygiene industries have to offer.
Having only joined the industry shortly after the 2017 Cleaning Show, I’m excited to see for myself the biggest industry event on UK soil for the first time, especially at such an interesting point in time. With the uncertain shadow of Brexit looming over the economy, I’ll be interested in hearing from industry experts, managers and cleaning operatives about the preparations, precautions and points- of-view on the UK’s impending EU exit.
Following a 10-year absence, Diversey will not only be returning to the show, they are also sponsoring the expo’s VIP lounge. Other major returning names include Kärcher, Northwood Hygiene Products, Numatic, Vileda, Evans Vanodine and Prochem Europe.
As well as old favourites, new names – many based outside the UK and even Europe – will be exhibiting, including PPE distributors Arco, Italian storage and trolley retailer TTS, Chinese road and floor sweeper brush manufacturer Anhui Humanmei, Swedish flooring specialists Bona, and sustainable cleaning equipment supplier Greenspeed.
Stan Atkins, chair of Cleaning Show co-producer the British Cleaning Council, said: “The Cleaning Show is going from strength to strength and continues to grow. It is attracting new international exhibitors and also welcoming back several major brands which have been absent for some time.
“In addition, we are seeing more specialist suppliers and niche service providers signing-up. This reflects how the cleaning sector is increasingly embracing innovation and is offering a diverse range of solutions to meet the cleaning challenges of not only today, but also those of tomorrow.”
