Editor’s Voice Interclean Amsterdam 2022 was a whirlwind. After so many years away, it was great to
head out to the Netherlands and reconnect with so many in the industry over four packed days in the RAI. Although not quite as big as the 2018 show, it was a great and incredibly productive time as the industry caught up, put names to faces, and got to see all the brilliant innovations from the world of cleaning and hygiene.
While this was a nice break from the last two years of misery, there’s no avoiding the reality of the current economic climate. Prices are skyrocketing thanks to increases in
fuel and energy costs, and the sector is already starting to feel the squeeze. How has this affected your business? We’re interested in finding out how it’s affected different areas of the cleaning industry, so drop me a line to let me know how you’re adapting.
In this issue of Tomorrow’s Cleaning, we’ve got a big feature on Food Safety and Steam Cleaning. Jeremy from Essity looks into ways of maximising hygiene in fast-
food establishments in order to ensure that staff can be seen to be clean. Peter from Christeyns Food Hygiene talks to us about allergen management in in food, dairy,
beverage and brewing industries, and why it’s important, while we learn from Robert Scott how to enhance food safety and sustainability.
In our Floorcare & Maintenance section, we get the lowdown on TASKI’s new range of
ULTIMAXX smart scrubber dryer machines, while Denis Rawlins’ James White shares his thoughts on why so many businesses are still not investing in the safety of their staff and visitors. Daniel from Kärcher UK also lets us know how we can save time and money by implementing a daily cleaning routine.
