Champion Award’ for its long-term commitment to employee wellbeing and paying a fair wage. The firm is not only a Living Wage supplier, but is also a founding member of the Living Wage Service Provider Recognition Scheme. It was one of the first three national contract cleaning providers to sign up to the scheme and, today, remains part of the Service Providers Leadership Group.

Jan Hein Hemke, Managing Director at Facilicom UK, said: “We are extremely proud to have been given this award as we are passionate about ensuring our colleagues receive fair pay. We believe that people who are willing to work hard for their wages should be rewarded sufficiently – so that they can live, enjoy life and support their families. That’s why we are strong supporters of the Living Wage movement.

"In addition, we are committed to protecting our colleagues’ wellbeing, and firmly believe that ‘happy people make happy people’. This is why every staff member has 24/7 access to an Employee Assistance Programme, where they can discuss any issues that might adversely affect their work performance, health and wellbeing. By creating a positive workforce, our clients receive a much better service and our colleagues are more motivated and committed.”

Facilicom UK was awarded the ‘Beyond the Living Wage Charity event gets riders in gear

A group of intrepid motorcycle enthusiasts from the Incentive FM Group companies, together with guests, raised more than £5,000 for their inaugural Charity Motorcycle Run.

Starting at the Rycas café at Box Hill in Dorking, Surrey, the event saw riders set off for a two-hour ride to Meon in Hampshire along a beautifully scenic ride through Horsham, Petworth and Midhurst before enjoying a hearty lunch at Loomies café.

The more direct journey north in the afternoon, again led by John Mansfield, Incentive Lynx Security Control Room Manager, took in the delights of Guildford (not all intended) and everyone safely completed the 110-mile round trip by mid-afternoon.

The motorcycle exotica included a vintage Harley Davidson,

Classic Italian Laverda Jota, an original six-cylinder CBX 1000 Honda from the ‘80s, two BMW’s and a variety of modern machinery.

The long-distance award went to Liz McLaughlin and Chris Windass, who rode their respective bikes from Nottingham that morning and returned the same day. The money raised for Scotty’s Little Soldiers will help support children who have lost a parent serving in the British Armed Forces.

Jeremy Waud, Chairman of Incentive FM Group, said: “This event provided the perfect opportunity to mix a variety of staff, suppliers and friends on the open road, whilst making a significant sum of money for a fantastic charity. We all had a great time and encourage others to join in the fun next year – route to be agreed and it will be on Friday 29 May 2020.”
