For 150 years Kimberly-Clark Professional has partnered with businesses all over the world to create Exceptional Workplaces, helping to make them safer, healthier, and more productive, even in unprecedented times. As a leading global manufacturer, Kimberly-Clark Professional supplies innovative and sustainable washroom solutions, hygiene products, and industrial supplies across all sectors.

Kimberly-Clark Professional’s RightCycle Programme was launched by the global manufacturer of washroom and hygiene services 10 years ago, diverting over 1500 tonnes of PPE from landfill and incineration. Now, the RightCycle Programme is extended for the recycling of old dispensers and used hand towels.

This is the world’s first dispenser installation and recycling system, providing a new ‘closed loop’ service for recycling hand towels. FM managers need no upfront investment or additional labour.

The RightCycle Programme for the recycling of old dispensers and used hand towels is available across the UK, France, and Germany. This latest extension of the programme gives businesses a simple way to be more sustainable and improve their washroom and wiping facilities for the wellbeing of customers, staff, and visitors.

The RightCycle Programme for dispensers offers a more responsible option than throwing old dispensers away, plus a hassle-free installation and recycling service takes care of everything from start to finish. The Programme is open to all organisations with more than 100 customer-owned dispensers of any category. Expert fitters remove, collect, and collate old dispensers and install new, hygienic, and sustainable dispensers. The components, including plastic, cardboard, and metal screws, are transformed into new raw materials for use in new products such as car parts and children’s toys – diverting waste from landfill.

Participating organisations in the RightCycle Programme for hand towels separate their used towels from their general waste at point of use. RightCycle then collects and takes them to an aggregation site for compression and baling. The bales are then transported to mills where the fibres are recycled and used in the manufacture of new tissue products.

Taking up the hand towel recycling service, the RightCycle Programme can help customers reduce their waste footprint by up to 25%, and also increase recycling rates by 5%. Harrods used the programme to recycle used hand towels, reducing its waste footprint by 2.8% and improving recycling rates by 1%.
