PurTabs by EvaClean
PurTabs Sanitizer and Disinfectant is a primary component of the EvaClean Infection Prevention Solution. This innovative chemistry is composed of Sodium Dichloro Isocyanurate (NaDCC), which releases hypochlorous acid (HOCl) when dissolved in water, a formulation with four times the antimicrobial killing power of bleach, but without any of the chemical exposure risks.
The unique tablet concentrate provides accurate dilution to a broad spectrum of strengths from NSF D2 food contact surface safe sanitiser to hospital grade sporicidal. PurTabs is EPA registered to kill COVID-19, Monkeypox, TB, C. diff, C. auris, and many other dangerous pathogens. Yet, with the lowest toxicity rating, a neutral pH, and an HMIS of 0/0/0, PurTabs is safer for surfaces, people, and the environment.
PurTabs is also biodegradable and highly sustainable. In addition to reducing environmental impact with less transport, CO2
emissions, and packaging waste, the cost
of shipping is significantly less. Thanks to NADCC’s stable chemistry, it has an extended shelf life of up to three years, and diluted solutions remain effective for as long as seven days in sealed containers. Additionally, the inherent stability of PurTabs NaDCC/HOCl chemistry provides effective kill times at lower concentrations and less chemicals.
NaDCC is one of only a handful of chemistries that are EPA registered for electrostatic application, and is the only one with no waiting time required to re-enter after spraying. It’s also one of the rare chemistries classified as a continuously active disinfectant that possesses reserve killing power for up to 24 hours.
Recently, NYU Langone Health published a study confirming that PurTabs was the best sporicidal disinfectant for reducing pathogens on surfaces in a patient’s room. The study also proved PurTabs — applied with a standard microfibre cloth and mop, plus an electrostatic sprayer — was the most effective disinfectant method.
