EcoNatural by Lucart Hygiene
EcoNatural is the innovative PAPER+DISPENSER system that gives new life to used drinks cartons which would otherwise end up in landfill.
Thanks to innovative technology, Lucart separates the components of a drinks carton and using the cellulose fibres, it creates Fiberpack to produce paper. From this, we are able to produce a wide range of paper products such as toilet rolls, hand towels, centrefeeds, and much more.
We also use the aluminium and polyethylene in the drinks carton to produce
Al.Pe., a new raw material used to make a range of dispensers.
The EcoNatural project guarantees a tangible and measurable eco-friendly solution. Indeed, considering the tonnes of Fiberpack paper produced between 2013 and 2021, Lucart contributed to the recovery of over 7.6bn 1L beverage cartons, covering a distance equal to 44 times the planet’s circumference. It saved more than 3.3m trees, a surface area equivalent to 11,200 football pitches, and avoided CO2
emissions emitted into
the atmosphere exceeding 195,000t, equal to the emissions of 1,542,208 journeys by car from Exeter to Edinburgh.
Plus, in three years, Lucart Professional recycled the aluminium and polyethylene parts of 4.25m drinks cartons, thanks to the production of
Al.Pe. dispensers.
EcoNatural tissue products can proudly be recognised as circular, sustainable, and environmentally friendly. Being multi certified, all the products of this range are EU Ecolabel certified, FSC Recycled certified, and from 2021 all EcoNatural products manufactured in our plant in Laval are also Cradle to Cradle Certified.
From 2021, EcoNatural dispensers also gained an important certification: ReMade in Italy, the first accredited product certification in Italy and Europe to verify the content of recycled material in a product.
Lucart Professional EcoNatural represents a virtuous system that reduces the burden of waste on the environment and that has allowed Lucart to become a true circular economy benchmark in Europe.
