It’s clean up North
Technology and Sustainability are top of the agenda as the Manchester Cleaning Show returns this April.
Following its triumphant return to London in 2021, The Cleaning Show is gearing up to return to Manchester for its first face-to-face event in the city for more than three years.
Moving to an all-new venue, the event will see cleaning professionals descend on the Manchester Central Convention Complex from 6-7 April 2022 for two days of invaluable networking, a chance to learn from industry leaders, and test the latest product innovations in person.
Organised by the British Cleaning Council (BCC) and Quartz Business Media, the event, which runs in Manchester every other year alternating with ExCeL London, is set to welcome more than 3000 cleaning professionals – spanning the contract cleaning, facilities management (FM), healthcare, hospitality, retail, and public services sectors.
With a chance to celebrate the industry’s biggest achievements, the event will also provide an invaluable platform to discover the next big trend and source the latest products and solutions from exhibitors including Prochem, Greyland Limited, Innovise, Victor Floorcare, Rotowash, Toucan Eco and GOJO.
A platform for industry firsts
Highlighting the event’s important position as a platform for new product launches, Motorscrubber has confirmed attendees at this year’s event will be the first in Europe to see the exclusive unveiling of its latest innovation – SHOCK. This all-new, patent-pending machine uses powerful, targeted, shockwave cleaning, with an ultra-low-profile head for scrubbing hard to reach areas. Optimised for precious corner cleaning, it’s designed to complement the company’s renowned DMT System.
In an exciting new development, Reckitt's Dettol Pro Solutions – Dettol’s business-to-business offering – will act as the official hygiene partner for The Manchester Cleaning

The convergence of people and
technology Among the trends set to be discussed at the event will be the role of technology and what the future of cobot and human interaction will look like. Technology has made significant strides over the last half a century, with artificial intelligence playing a critical role.
Described as the ‘next cleaning revolution’, cobots – which are designed to work alongside human employees – have quickly risen in popularity, thanks to their ability to enhance repetitive cleaning procedures and free up valuable time, allowing operatives to focus on other important tasks, such as touchpoint or deep cleaning.
At the Manchester Cleaning Show 2022, Killis will return to highlight how embracing such technology can hugely benefit cleaning professionals around the world. Speaking about the company’s return to the Manchester Cleaning Show, Holly Greenhalgh, Marketing & Communications Manager, said: “Every day, Killis inspires people to make cleaner, healthier spaces – through forward-thinking products, our ideas, and our team.
“Working in partnership with The Manchester Cleaning Show, we're delighted to be showcasing our advanced robotics, the latest in scrubber dryer tech and our growing sustainability range.”
Fellow exhibitor i-team will also be on hand to discuss how the use of cobots can help businesses maintain a
