Editor’s Voice

The cleaning and hygiene industry is gearing up for a busy couple of months, as we get the third-ever Manchester Cleaning Show in early April, followed by the long-anticipated return of Interclean Amsterdam in early May. It's going to be great to bring the industry together – especially on a global scale in Amsterdam.

To celebrate these two events, in this issue we’ve got a special Manchester Cleaning Show Guide, replete with information and handy information, including a floorplan, conference guide, and details from some of the major players about what they’ll be exhibiting. We’ve also got a Preview of Interclean Amsterdam, with an early look at

the various events taking place across the many halls of the RAI Amsterdam over the course of the four-day spectacular.

It's not just trade shows on the horizon, however. In late April we’ll be arriving in

Brussels for the 2022 European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards, and in late May we’ll be descending on London for the Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards 2022. Both events are set to celebrate the best and brightest in the industry, just like

our recently concluded Tomorrow’s Cleaning Awards 2022, the results of which can be found on page 6.

Elsewhere, we’ve got a dedicated Training and Education feature, where Ian from Fidelis

lets us know how we can improve cleaning in education settings with learnings from the pandemic, and the President of the Water Jetting Association, John Jones, discusses launching a new code of practice for pressure washing.

4 | EDITOR’S VOICE

There’s also a focus on Sustainability, with Stuart from Essity looking at ways that toilets across the world are becoming more sustainable and how we can save paper and reduce washroom waste, Fantastic Services explores how the industry can be more sustainable, and Alasdair from Satino talks about the relationship between hygiene and sustainability.

Thank you very much for reading, please stay safe and enjoy the issue!
