paper manufacturer Following an increase in business and production at paper manufacturer, Tullis Russell Coaters, Stanley Security Solutions has extended the CCTV system at the company’s Cheshire manufacturing facility.

Tullis Russell Coaters is at the forefront of coated paper manufacturing and film development. With an expansion of the business, Tullis Russell Coaters required its CCTV system to be expanded to cover new areas of the site to protect its high value product and for health and safety.

A comprehensive CCTV system was already in place, so Tullis Russell Coaters was keen to ensure that new equipment would integrate seamlessly with minimal wastage. Stanley Security Solutions was able to cost-effectively expand and upgrade the company’s CCTV system

by integrating fifteen new cameras on to the system and fitting two new DVRs to record both the new and the existing cameras, thus avoiding equipment redundancy.

All work on site was carried out by Stanley under a stringent set of health and safety guidelines - an important consideration with such a large manufacturing site producing vast rolls of paper. In addition to the installation work, Stanley is providing out of hours monitoring of the CCTV system from its ProtectionNet Customer Service Centre. The Centre is among the largest of its kind in the UK, with capacity to monitor over 50,000 customers and recently received the National Security Inspectorate’s (NSI) ARC Gold accreditation.

Eight out of 10 give workplace

art the thumbs up Recent industry research has demonstrated the benefits of workplace art in today’s office environment. A report, published by International Art Consultants (IAC), reveals the latest trends and best practice for art in the workplace. The report is based on a survey conducted by The British Council for Offices (BCO) amongst their 1,500 members in addition to IAC's own clients.

90% of the survey respondents display art on their premises and 86% of them thought that art is more relevant than ever in today’s office

environment. The vast majority of corporate occupiers acknowledged the ability of art to create a more welcoming work space, stimulate creativity, communicate brand values and provide a more flexible working environment.

The research suggests that FMs should invest in pieces that can provide a return on investment in the long term, for instance, by supporting new artists and working collaboratively with emerging talent.
