CARPETS & CARPET TILES
CASE STUDY
Vibrant and striking SCALE carpet tiles from Vorwerk Carpets now cover the floors of Vineyard House, the flagship head office of Immediate Media Co.
Vorwerk’s stunning new carpet tiles reflect the dynamic nature of the fast- paced organisation that is Immediate Media Co., whilst really helping to facilitate an exciting working environment.
Specified by AROS architects, SCALE tiles in a mix of on-trend grey, black and bright pops of orange complement the white gloss furniture and industrial- style exposed ceiling of Vineyard House, and provide a directional aesthetic which perfectly suits the creative and collaborative nature of the recently formed Immediate Media Co.
Using the whole spectrum of four-edged sizes available in the SCALE collection, AROS architects have designed an open-plan environment that allows both working and breakout areas to flow together. “As the flagship offices of an evolving media firm, it was imperative that the interior of Vineyard House had that real wow factor,” explained Charlotte Storrar, Interior Designer at AROS architects. “The floorcovering was the most crucial part of the
38
design scheme as it introduced the bright orange feature colour, so it was incredibly important that we chose well. We wanted something innovative and flexible, and it had to be a product that inspired staff to be creative. SCALE delivered on all these points and allowed for great freedom of design.”
“Immediate Media Co. are thrilled with the finished look, and are especially taken by the playful use of colour,” Charlotte continued. “SCALE tiles were integral to this project, and the mix of sizes, textures and colours all work together to create a truly unique space.”
Renowned architect, Hadi Teherani, designed the SCALE collection for Vorwerk. Consisting of coloured carpet tiles in four different sized square and rectangular shapes, the tiles fit together to create a surface that provides a new outlet for architecture and design.
