THE FLOORING SHOW REVIEW
The hugely popular Demo area.
One of the retail displays designed by Laura Casey and co-ordinated by Joanna Ramsden of Wools of New Zealand.
“It was gratifying to see the support for the show from all sectors of the industry, and we are thankful for the loyalty shown by the core group of major exhibitors.” - Wendy Adams, the Flooring Show’s Event Director
In addition, the Flooring Show hosted the first Commercial Flooring Conference, with participants including huge industry names such as Altro, Flowcrete, Gerflor and Interface, plus the Health & Safety Laboratory (HSL) and the SATRA Technology Centre.
Having at first seeming quieter than other years, the show soon picked up and the Sunday and Monday were both equally as busy – with many familiar faces
launching new and exciting products. We found it to be particularly busy around the Demo area, and with our stand being situated right next to where the seminars were held, we regularly heard eruptions of applause after each seminar.
Wendy Adams, the Flooring Show’s Event Director, said: “It was gratifying to see the support for the show from all sectors of the industry, and we are thankful for the loyalty shown by the core
group of major exhibitors who have helped to ensure a highly successful event. Visitors also appreciated the fact that this year attendance at all elements of The Flooring Show – the exhibition, seminar programmes, networking events and even car parking and wireless internet access – were free of charge to all with a business/ professional interest in the flooring industry.”

Plans for next year’s Flooring Show are already well underway, and will see the exhibition be yet again held at the Harrogate International centre in September 2013. Paul Stott, Marketing Director of the event, commented: “We are delighted to have seen a high level of re-bookings and many positive comments from exhibitors. We introduced several new elements to the event [this year] and will be continuing to adopt new initiatives to ensure that next year’s show is bigger and better and is organised to top international standards to reflect well on the highly important industry it serves.”
