RECYCLING VARIOUS MATERIALS USED IN THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS ALLOWS US TO
MINIMISE WASTE AND REDUCE THE USE OF NATURAL RESOURCES.
The process of making ceramic pieces requires and generates heat, prompting us to heavily invest in infrastructure that allows us to capture and recycle this heat. We use it for drying the pieces before firing and for drying our moulds in the plaster casting workshop.
However, this new unit is not only a way to enhance technical performance. Human beings are at the heart of the manufacturing process, and we sought ways to improve working conditions for our artisans of all ages and genders while helping them achieve high-quality standards. All the equipment was conceived, built, and installed with that in mind.
But for us, sustainability does not stop at the walls of the manufacturing units. We are also keen on raising awareness among our teams in general. The site has, therefore, been equipped with bicycle garages, and we offer subsidies for the purchase of bicycles to encourage their daily use, as well as promoting car-pooling. We have also been awarded the gold level of the ‘Employeur pro-vélo’ label.
Today, with this new Manufacture picking up speed, we feel confident we made the right choices. We could have chosen to let in more natural light by making some openings larger... but we have not yet had the last word. Indeed, this is only the beginning.
NEXT YEAR, WE PLAN TO INSTALL SOLAR PANELS
AND PRECISELY MEASURE THE ENERGY SAVINGS. WE AIM TO
IMPROVE EVERYTHING WE CAN AS WE MOVE FORWARD.
Being reasoned is a long-term commitment, and we are dedicated! We’re committed to manufacturing sustainable and durable pots, dishes, and utensils that contribute positively to Food Service solutions - from an environmental perspective to preserving the health of end-users.
