Laboratory Products 29 Advanced solution for component protection
Acrylic Desiccators from Plas Labs provide a breakthrough solution designed to protect critical materials, research specimens, and sensitive electronic components from contamination. These advanced desiccators offer unparalleled protection, convenience, and visibility, transforming the storage and transportation of valuable assets.
The Acrylic Desiccators are meticulously engineered to create a dust and moisture-free environment, ensuring the integrity and longevity of stored components. By employing a slight positive N2 charge, these units effectively prevent moisture penetration, extending the lifespan of valuable components. The amber-coloured units (CGA) provide exceptional protection against harmful UV rays for light-sensitive materials.
Featuring stackable and non-slip ‘grip tight’ feet, Acrylic Desiccators offer space-saving storage with stability. The standardised construction allows for easy shelf interchangeability, optimising organisation and space utilisation. Perforated slots on each shelf enable optimum gas circulation, ensuring a uniform protective atmosphere within the desiccator.
To enhance structural integrity, desiccators with multiple cubicles have a built-in divider, providing added strength for stored materials. Constructed with optically clear ‘jewelled’ acrylic, these units offer excellent visibility without compromising durability.
Convenience is paramount. Slip-apart hinges and spring-loaded sealing clamps ensure easy and secure access. A built-in hygrometer (Rh) gauge enables precise humidity monitoring for optimal storage conditions. The desiccators also feature ‘door guards’ to prevent warping and internal atmosphere loss.

ilmt.co/PL/BBo1 60843pr@reply-direct.com Rapid, reliable moisture measurement
The KERN DBS halogen moisture analyser provides steady, reliable results with high reaction speed, even with delicate samples. Using the thermogravimetric principle to carry out the measurement, the KERN DBS achieves a measurement accuracy of up to +/- 0.01% depending on the size of the sample. The integrated balance is based on a weighing cell from the new Single-Cell Generation made from aluminium alloy. Thanks to short stabilisation times and high temperature resistance, this cell indicates the weighing result significantly quicker than other weighing systems.
The KERN DBS uses the infrared radiation of a halogen-quartz glass heater with a power of 400 W for drying. Sensitive temperature control ensures uniform heating of the sample and is therefore also suitable for thermo-sensitive samples. The device switches off automatically or is time-controlled, depending on the settings. Temperature ranges from 50-200˚ and different heating profiles mean procedures can be precisely adapted to a particular sample.
Drying programmes include: Standard - ideal for most types of sample; Gentle - for delicate substances; Rapid - for samples with a high moisture content; Stage - an alternative to Gentle drying that prevents sample damage as it is pre-heated. Up to ten drying programs can be stored in the moisture analyser with parameters, such as, drying period and temperature, display settings, etc. This saves the user time and guarantees repeatable results. Using a range of features, it is simple for these results to be documented, processed further and tracked. The device allows for the documentation of up to 100 drying processes internally. Additionally, it offers user-friendly options for transferring results to a PC or printer through USB and RS 232 data interfaces. Furthermore, the measurement report can include detailed sample descriptions for up to 99 samples.
In order for the comparability of the results of moisture analyses to be guaranteed in the long term, the correct temperatures must be maintained in the heating chamber of the device or in the sample. KERN & SOHN therefore offers customers regular calibration of their moisture analyser - for genuine, reliable measuring results.

A comprehensive handheld solution for in-situ water quality analysis Company’s Ultrameter II 6PFCE
Replace up to 6 laboratory instruments with one portable meter for fast field analysis Myron L®
equipment. A true one-handed instrument, the 6PFCE
easily with the press of a button. Unlike other similar meters, 6PFCE
provides a comprehensive suite of in-situ water quality analysis tools that are designed to replace more costly and less convenient laboratory delivers Conductivity, Resistivity, TDS, pH, ORP, Free Chlorine Equivalent (FCE
™), and Temperature measurements quickly and Conductivity and TDS functions allow you to specify the solution type that most closely models the solution under test: KCl; NaCl; Myron L’s own
442 Natural Water™ Standard; or USER, programmable by you to model a known solution. The result is benchtop accuracy of ±1% of reading in a handheld instrument. Accuracy increases to ±.1% of reading at calibration point. Temperature compensation is automatic to 25°C or can be disabled by the user as required. Autoranging capabilities provide increased reading resolution across a broad range of applications.
pH readings are also temperature compensated, and you can choose to perform a 1-, 2-, or 3-point calibration
depending on the range of samples measured to achieve ±.01pH accuracy. The pH sensor is of a proprietary construction and includes a large potassium chloride solution reservoir for longer life. Myron L pH sensors are also user replaceable, extending the useful life of the 6PFCE
.
The ORP sensor utilises a 99.9% pure platinum electrode and a reference junction that is shared with the pH sensor. Measurement accuracy is ±1 millivolt.
In addition, the 6PFCE features a ground-
breaking new way to derive Free Available Chlorine from a predictive ORP value and the actual pH of water. In systems where chlorine is the only sanitiser, this method accurately determines the chemical concentration of free chlorine without the hassle and subjectivity of colorimetric and test-strip methods.
Calibration and maintenance are simple, so the 6PFCE 6PFCE
can be serviced by the user. The
is also IP67 dust-tight and waterproof, NEMA 6 submersible, and buoyant. Plus, Myron L service and technical support are included for the life of the product.
