Laboratory Products 37 Optimising high-throughput tube marking
AFYS3G, a leader in laboratory automation solutions, has introduced its latest innovation, the Information Marking System Lambda768. This state-of-the-art laser marker is designed to streamline sample processing in laboratories by delivering exceptional speed, fl exibility, and ease of use, making it an ideal solution for high-throughput tube marking.
The Lambda768 laser marker can handle up to 8 ANSI/SLAS racks at once, including 96-well, 48-well, and 24-well formats. Its ability to process mixed formats in a single run makes it incredibly versatile for labs working with various tube types. With a marking capacity of up to 500 tubes per hour, the Lambda768 optimises productivity by enabling quick, reliable marking for large sample volumes.
This advanced system is compatible with tubes from leading brands such as Micronic, Azenta, and LVL Technologies, ensuring smooth integration with existing lab supplies. A built-in turntable accelerates the picking and placing process, optimising speed even further.
Lambda768’s engraving capabilities are highly fl exible, allowing high-resolution markings of images, logos, text, and batch IDs directly on the tube surface. The laser markings are durable, resistant to chemicals, abrasion, and extreme temperatures from -196°C to +100°C, ensuring clear legibility under even the harshest conditions.
Designed with usability in mind, the system features an intuitive touchscreen interface and user-friendly software, making it easy for laboratory staff to operate without extensive technical knowledge. An internal camera monitors the marking process in real-time, ensuring top-quality results. The Lambda768 can be operated via an internal PC or connected to external computers, LIMS systems, USB, or TCP/IP, offering fl exibility for any lab setup. Its removable side panel allows easy integration into automated environments, reducing manual intervention and improving workfl ow effi ciency.
The Lambda768 meets the growing demands of modern laboratories, offering a fast, fl exible, and durable tube marking solution that ensures high-quality, precise results every time. Whether for research or high-volume sample processing, the Lambda768 delivers reliability and performance to enhance lab productivity.

New Anti-GFP antibodies enhance fl uorescent protein detection Jackson ImmunoResearch introduces Affi niPure®
Rabbit Anti-GFP, expanding its portfolio of secondary antibodies for life science research.
GFP is widely used to monitor protein expression and localisation within cells. Anti-GFP antibodies enhance detection, enabling researchers to work in conditions where direct GFP fl uorescence may be limited.
Affi nity-purifi ed and polyclonal, the new Rabbit Anti-GFP antibody detects Aequorea victoria GFP and its variants, including EGFP, ECFP, and EYFP. Available conjugated to Alexa Fluor®
dyes and other reporters, it provides strong signal amplifi cation for diverse applications.
Now available in the USA and Europe through Jackson ImmunoResearch and global distribution partners. More information online:

ADVERTORIAL Serological pipet controller with repeat dispense capability
Integra Biosciences is pleased to announce the launch of the PIPETBOY GENIUS, the latest addition to its range of serological pipet controllers. PIPETBOY GENIUS is the intelligent choice for precise and consistent serological pipetting. It offers a unique repeat dispense function* that enables users to aspirate a defi ned large volume and consistently dispense aliquots from 0.1 to 50 ml, just by pressing a button.
PIPETBOY GENIUS allows the user to switch easily between manual and repeat dispense functions, ensuring perfect liquid level control every time. Simply choose repeat dispense for rapid and highly reproducible pipetting that eliminates manual error and avoids the need to look at graduation marks on the pipet. This lightweight and compact instrument also guarantees vibration- and noise-free pipetting, and boasts cutting-edge, built-in overfi ll protection*. This feature prevents over-aspirating liquid into the instrument, helping to avoid workfl ow interruptions to replace a contaminated fi lter.
Convenient, one-handed manual operation makes life in the lab as easy as possible, allowing sensitive control of aspiration and dispense speeds on the fl y – from drop by drop until the last drop, to 13.5 ml/min – to match experimental needs. In addition, the PIPETBOY GENIUS sterile module (nose piece) incorporates a Steady-Grip feature that ensures any volume of serological pipets from 1 to 100 ml will be held fi rmly in place by the controller during use for reliable, stable operation.
* These features are only available when using Integra serological pipets
