31 Ovens, Furnaces & Heating Equipment New Tube Furnaces Launched
Carbolite Gero have launched their new range of high quality laboratory tube furnaces. Over the last 18 months Carbolite Gero’s team of product specialists, industrial designers and skilled engineers have worked tirelessly to develop a versatile new range of universal, split & gradient tube furnaces.
These new tube furnaces boast high-quality heating elements and an innovative thermal insulation design which is the result of over 80 years of experience in thermal engineering. They deliver unrivalled performance with rapid heating & cooling as well as outstanding temperature uniformity. In addition, they require significantly reduced power consumption over previous models and can all be used either horizontally or vertically. Their solid construction and high-quality components ensure users will see a significant return on their investment.
The new Carbolite Gero laboratory tube furnaces have been designed with total flexibility in mind. Slide-in accessory work tubes and the use of tube adapters allow a single furnace to accommodate a variety of tube diameters, whilst the work tubes themselves can easily be exchanged to meet the different physical or chemical requirements of a process.
Optional work tube packages enable users to equip their tube furnace for operation under vacuum or with a modified gas atmosphere. Carbolite Gero’s gas packages optimise the inert atmosphere inside the work tube. Allowable gases are: nitrogen, argon or carbon dioxide. Should you require hydrogen a Carbolite Gero gas safety system will also be needed for safe operation.
Whether you require a single or three-zone universal tube furnace (TF Range), a split tube single or three-zone furnace (TS Range) or a gradient tube furnace (TG Range) with two or three heated zones then the new comprehensive range of tube furnaces from Carbolite Gero are outstanding candidates for your organisation.

New System for Microplate Heating and Cooling Unveiled
Hamilton unveils the new Hamilton Heater Cooler™ (HHC) for heating and cooling of ANSI/SLAS footprint microplates. The HHC easily integrates with any of the Company’s automated liquid handling platforms, including the Microlab® VANTAGE Liquid Handling Platform, Microlab STAR™, and Microlab NIMBUS®, to increase consistency, walkaway time and overall workflow efficiency in a wide variety of temperature-dependent applications. For those that prefer manual operation, the versatile HHC also functions as a standalone device.
The HHC offers a broad operating range of 0-110°C, while its sturdy construction includes moisture prohibitive materials, cable insulation, and a built-in drain to collect and manage condensation. Along with Hamilton’s endless combination of automation options and on-deck tools, the HHC enables researchers to focus on expanding their research boundaries.
50787pr@reply-direct.com ADVERTORIAL New Heating Circulation
Thermostat Announced With the new Chili, Peter Huber Kältemaschinenbau AG presents a compact, low volume, hydraulically sealed heating thermostat for use with closed temperature control circuits. Part of the Unistat product family, the Chili is the smallest heating thermostat in the Huber range and is appropriate for use with Marlotherm as a heat transfer fl uid. The device has a working temperature range of 65 to 300°C and achieves a temperature stability of +/-0.02 K. Measuring just 240 x 427 x 393 mm (W x D x H), only a small space for installation is required. It is small enough to be a direct replacement for existing ‘open-bath’
heaters. Due to its technical characteristics and competitive pricing, the Chili is ideally suited for e.g. distillation tasks in chemistry, pharmaceuticals and botanical extraction. The hydraulically sealed temperature control circuit prevents the formation of oil vapours and oxidation. This results in an increased lifespan of the heat transfer fl uid adding further value. An external cooling coil (unregulated) is available as an optional accessory.
As with all Unistats, the new Chili impresses with excellent thermodynamic characteristics and a professional range of functions. The Chili guarantees high- precision, reproducible thermoregulation results with reduced heating times and wide temperature ranges. Effi cient energy management minimises operating costs and economic operation.
The Pilot ONE multi-touch controller has a 5.7” touchscreen display with intuitive, icon based menu navigation. Important functions and settings are accessible in a fast and simple manner thanks to the user-creatable favourites menu. Integrated USB and Ethernet ports enable connection to a PC or network for remote control, monitoring and data recording.
