Water/Wastewater 11 New Multimeter for Water analysis
The latest digital handheld, the Ultrameter III 9P from Myron L Company (USA), is based on the tried and tested design of the Ultrameter II. The 9P adds the ability to perform in-cell alkalinity and hardness titrations either as stand-alone measurements or as part of an LSI calculation. Alkalinity, hardness, pH and temperature values can be manipulated in the LSI calculator to predict the effect of changes on water balance. Measurements are extremely accurate. And the 9P is simple to operate and maintain.
The 9P is packaged with all required solutions and accessories as part of the 9PTK Titration Kit. A hard foam-lined carry case organises and protects all contents: The 9P; 9P cell extender; titration plunger; reagents for in-cell alkalinity, hardness and LSI titrations; standard calibration solutions for all parameters; storage solution to protect the pH/ORP sensor; and pipette for precision dispensing with additional tips. Sensors are internal and included.
The 9P is also capable of wireless communication with the bluDock™ option installed. The bluDock uses Bluetooth® technology to transfer data wirelessly to your personal computer and comes with user-intuitive software that makes it easy to analyse saved water sample data.

On-line-TOC in Ultra Pure Water The calibration and validation of the on-line TOC analysis calibration function in measuring
ranges of 0-2,000 ppb and lower is always a challenge for the operator. The preparation of the calibration solution takes a lot of time and requires precision.
LAR’s (Germany) QuickTOCpurity is the on-line measurement system for the fast and precise determination of TOC in low ranges up to 2000 ppb with optional multi stream operation. This system meets the requirements for the measurement of condensate, boiler feed water and cooling water.
This on-line TOC analyser is calibrated and validated by LAR’s patented and revolutionary ready-at-any-time method, which prevents any contaminations in contrast to liquid standards, simplifies the handling considerably and works via remote control. The closed valve system prevents sample contaminations with ambient air. The special batch processing allows injection of larger samples volumes. Inert materials guarantee accurate and offset-free measuring results within the lowest measuring ranges.
Basis of this innovative calibration method is the patented catalyst-free high-temperature method at 1,200°C, whereby the total carbon is oxidised completely. The analyser successfully detects any short measurement peaks throughout the course of the day delivering the single results within only 3 minutes.
The new TOC measurement system QuickTOCpurity is characterised by extremely low support and maintenance services of only a few minutes a week, fast and easy operation and accurate results in lower ranges. Compared to standard methods the operating and maintenance costs will be reduced significantly by this remarkable innovation.
Hence, this state-of-the-art analyser is the solution for ultra pure and cooling water monitoring as well as boiler feed and condensate measurement according to international regulations.

The new COD 1000 Tubetest range from water analysis company Palintest (UK) uses the ISO 15705 (dichromate) method to analyse chemical oxygen demand in water samples for O2 concentrations of 0-1000mg/l. The new tests are compatible with the company’s existing 8000, 7500 and 7100 photometer models as well as the recently-released Palintest 9100 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer.
Aquaread water quality testing products.
Aquaread, the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of multiparameter water quality testing instruments, is launching a brand new range of sondes and electrodes. 12 brand new electrodes have been designed, comprising of both Ion Selective and Optical electrodes. These electrodes will be housed in the user configurable (Aux) ports of the new sondes.
There are three variants available in the new range: Mercury Free, Low Mercury, and Mercury Formulation, according to what range needs to be tested. The accuracy and precision of the new COD 1000 Tubetest range is the same as for the other Palintest COD products, equivalent in mg/l of ±1%T at all concentrations. The methodology is compliant with ISO 150705:2002, specifying a sealed tube method based on Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, 21st Edition, Section 5220 D.
COD tests are vital in testing both surface water and wastewater, especially in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. They are often also used to monitor waste water effluent from power plants, chemical manufacturing facilities, pulp and paper mills and potable water treatment centres. Within two hours, a test will indicate the amount of organic pollutants in the sample by measuring the presence of chemicals in the water that can be oxidised.

www.envirotech-online.com AET Annual Buyers’ Guide 2012
First, the multiparameter AP-2000 which is designed to be portable. This sonde will feature Aquaread’s all new metal connectors and new extension lead system, a re-designed protective sleeve and most importantly more choice and more parameters. The AP-2000 will boast a set of standard parameters: Optical DO, EC, pH, ORP and Temperature, along with 2 Aux ports to house 1 ISE Electrode and 1 Optical Electrode, and the option to add a depth sensor. All of this is housed in under 2” diameter making it the slimmest and most feature packed multiparameter sonde available today.
Secondly, the self-cleaning multiparameter AP-7000, which is designed for fixed monitoring. This probe again features the all new Aquaread metal connectors and extension system, and offers the standard parameters mentioned above plus 6 Aux ports to house any combination of the 12 brand new sensors. This sonde is capable of monitoring at depths of up to 100m, it will also offer unrivalled customisation options, a novel self- cleaning mechanism and a solid marine grade aluminium body with a diameter under 80mm.
Whether you require a portable system or an installed system Aquaread has the answer. Data can be collected either using the GPS Aquameter, one of our data loggers (AquaLogger series) or a telemetry system. The new sondes and the extended range of sensors including Ammonia, Nitrate, Chlorophyll and Refined Oils, makes Aquaread systems the perfect choice for monitoring water systems in your region.
