• Infl uencing future revisions of the standard through feedback and recommendations based on practical experiences and technological advancements.
2: PARTICULATE MATTER TASK GROUP
Focus: This group tackles the challenges associated with measuring particulate matter (PM) emissions. Activities:
• Developing guidance for sampling and analysing particulate emissions.
• Working on methods to enhance the accuracy and consistency of PM measurements.
• Discussing the impact of new regulations and technologies related to particulate emissions.
3: BIOGENIC CARBON TASK GROUP
Focus: This group focuses on defi ning the terms of reference and directing efforts towards areas of interest to members, particularly in the development and technical implications for future source testing and ETS implementation.
Activities: • Discussing emission factors versus direct measurements. • Emphasizing the importance of preparing ETS reporting data. • Providing technical guidance for the industry.
4: HEALTH AND SAFETY TASK GROUP
Focus: This group ensures health and safety practices are incorporated into all aspects of source testing and emissions monitoring.
Activities:
• Developing guidelines for safe working practices during emissions testing.
• Addressing risks associated with working in industrial environments.
• Providing training and resources on health and safety regulations.
5: QUALITY AND TECHNICAL TASK GROUP
Focus: This group addresses issues related to improving the reliability and value of results, contributing to the development of industry standards, safety procedures, and operating principles.
