New Bluelink device and app from Aquaread
Bluelink is essentially a Bluetooth adapter that can be fi tted to the end of your Aquaprobe’s cable, replacing the Aquameter. The Bluetooth device allows the probe to connect to the Bluelink mobile app.
The app has a wealth of functionality and works seamlessly with your connected Aquaprobe. Use the app to view many live readings all at once, to assign your chosen additional sensors, to view previous calibration information and perform new calibrations on all sensors. Logged data can easily be shared via email direct from the phone.
Extra features are available for more specifi c tasks, for example there is a dedicated section for low-fl ow sampling, designed to make the process simpler and offer advice during the process whilst automating many aspects of the data collection.
Bluelink app can be used directly with the AS-PRO sonde that has built in Bluetooth. The app gives you the ability to set up logging regimes, cleaning frequencies, event triggers and durations in addition to the usual features of live data viewing and sensor calibration.
The Bluelink device can also be used with the Leveline range, allowing full logger set up, live data viewing and data retrieval from multiple units with the ability to forward the data via email.

bNovate, exhibitors at this year’s WWEM exhibition on stand G3, is widely renowned for its work with water utilities and municipalities. These organisations recognise the critical importance of effective chlorine disinfection in maintaining safe drinking water; bNovate delivers innovative solutions, to enhance disinfection processes and ensure optimal water quality.
At this year’s WWEM, you can fi nd out about the Swiss company’s BactoSense, the proven, state-of-the-art online analyser for water contaminants that has been an invaluable solution for a host of environmental monitoring programs.
BactoSense continuously measures intact cell concentrations to verify the effectiveness of chlorination and adapt processes in real time. This highly advanced analyser also provides cost savings: it reduces chemical usage by applying adaptive chlorination based on precise microbial data, leading to signifi cant cost savings.
Crucially, BactoSense minimises the formation of harmful disinfection byproducts by tightly controlling chlorine levels, thereby protecting not only public health but also the environment.
In a recent project, bNovate was asked to help CSTB in Nantes, France, which needed real-time measurement data to control chlorination and biofi lm levels. BactoSense was utilised to monitor microbial levels during chlorination. The continuous data provided facilitated immediate adjustments, optimising disinfection while minimising chemical use and ensuring safe water quality.

World class TOC analysis solutions for the harshest wastewater applications to be showcased at WWEM 2024
The QuickTOCultra™ total organic carbon (TOC) analyser from Process Insights is the most reliable water quality measurement system for the harsh wastewater applications – regardless of the industry. Due to an unrivaled injection and oxidation technique, the QuickTOCultra easily handles sticky, fatty, salty, and high- particle samples unlike other TOC analysers. The sample is injected via a robot-driven injection system to the oven – without any pre-treatment or dilution. In the furnace, the sample is combusted at 1,200°C. Based on the high temperature, the organic content is completely oxidised to CO2 enabling the operator to determine the COD (TOD) parameter without applying any catalysts or additional hazardous chemical substances.
Optional parameters, such as TOC and TNb, can also be detected. The measurements are achieved free of chloride interference due to the unique process management. The QuickTOCultra has a fast response time of up to three minutes. With one analyser, multi-stream measurement of up to 6 streams can be performed.
Process Insights are exhibiting at the upcoming WWEM exhibition where visitors can ask about the company’s custom water analysis solutions for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. Visit booth H4/I4 to meet the Process Insights team, learn about the company’s latest water analysis solutions, and discuss how they can support your needs.
