16 Gas Detection Detect gas leaks over a distance of up to 200 metres
The new SR-LD 800 and SR-LD 200 remote laser gas detectors from Sewerin enhance safety and effi ciency in a variety of applications, such as inspecting a house’s connections from outside of the property’s boundary or checking gas pipes located under bridges. Additionally, all operational components at biogas plant can be easily inspected for leaks. Thanks to these devices’ remote detection technology, the tightness of the tank’smembrane connection can be inspected without the hazard and hassle of climbing ladders.
Thanks to the high resolution of the instruments’ measurement laser, these devices achieve exceptionally high sensitivity. The SR- LD 800 and SR-LD 200 are designed to detect methane gas and are both unaffected by cross-interference from other gases due to the use of TDLAS (Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy), a high resolution, non-dispersive spectrometric technique.
The SR-LDs effi ciently detect methane gas even over long distances of up to 200 metres. A laser beam emitted by the
detector is refl ected of a surface. If methane is present along the measurement path, it willabsorb the laser beam’s signal. The device calculates methane concentration based on signal attenuation. The devices adjust the zero-point automatically as the distance changes, ensuring reliable detection.
Both remote laser detectors are very compact, lightweight and user-friendly. They can be fully charged in just 2 ½ hours and are always ready for use thanks to the spare rechargeable batteries provided. The automatic adjustment of the measuring lasers is performed conveniently and effi ciently within the carrying case.

and reliable refrigerant gas leak detection The new REMORA First from NET is a complete, ready to use and cost-effective sensor module aimed at making refrigerant leak detection easy, affordable and effective in any application.
REMORA is based on a glass reinforced, fl ame retardant IP65 Polyamide enclosure, complete with integrated mounting holes. The gas inlet is protected by an oleophobic fi lter and an oil spray cover. All this ensures maximum protection against shocks, dust and contamination in any possible environment and application scenario.
REMORA gas detection is based on NET range of NDIR sensors – by a distance, the most complete on the market today, covering over 40 different common refrigerants across multiple platforms and detection ranges. NDIR detection ensures unparalleled gas selectivity, poison immunity, fail safe operation, long term stability and extended lifetime (15+years). The sensing part is microprocessor based, providing a linearized and temperature compensated reading, as well as complete diagnostics information while running constant self-check and self-calibration routines.
NET has now over 10 years of experience in detecting refrigerants with NDIR technology and can offer the best integration support available.
The REMORA module has a high-level interface with industry-standard 4-20mA analogue output and MODBUS protocol on RS-485, as well as local Threshold, Watchdog and fault alarm outputs. The power supply rating is 12…24VDC. The unit can be customized with different interface options, such as PokaYoka Automotive connector, NET standard connector and cable.
All the above makes the Remora sensor an ideal solution for any refrigerant leak detection solutions, from direct integration in HVAC/R equipment such as chillers, rooftop units or heat pumps, to environmental monitoring in cold rooms, machinery rooms or refrigerated transports as well as occupied spaces such as hotel rooms, hospitals or offi ce buildings.
REMORA is undergoing the highest level of certifi cation to ensure best-in-class reliability in Refrigerant Leak detection: • IEC60335-2-40:2022 Annex LL • EN 61508:2010 Parts 1-7, EN 50402:2017 (SIL2) • EN 61326 Part 1, EN 50270 (Electromagnetic compatibility) • EN 60529:1991 (IP protection). Reliable and precise gas measurement systems for determining the concentration of toxic or combustible gases and vapours in potentially explosive environments
LogiDataTech supplies innovative gas
measurement systems for directly determining gas concentration in a gas mixture. The explosion- proof MF420-Ex-2.1 range measures the concentration of toxic or combustible gases and vapours in an explosive air mixture at an ambient temperature range of 0-50°C. They operate by utilising either a pellistor or a specifi c electrochemical sensor. Calibration is a simple procedure and is carried out on-site using an alphanumeric display with the use of buttons, so the device does not need to be opened. The aluminium housing is suitable for wall mounting. The measured values are outputted via a linear current output (4-20mA) and the evaluation and further processing of the measured values are transmitted to a device connected downstream by the user. The instruments comply with the current European ATEX standard and are approved for operation in zones 1 and 2.
