8 Gas Detection New website enhances gas sensor purchasing experience

DD-Scientifi c has announced the launch of its redesigned website, www.ddscientifi c.com. The new platform offers visitors a considerably superior online experience, as it offers several features that simplify and enhance the procedure of purchasing DD-Scientifi c’s gas sensors.

The website features a very user-friendly and effective navigation system, making it easy for users to explore DD-Scientifi c’s broad product range. Whether visitors are trying to fi nd specifi c gas sensors or want to learn more about what DD-Scientifi c has to offer, the streamlined layout enables them to see the information they need quickly and easily. The new and intuitive design minimises clicks, thereby reducing the time visitors spend searching, and provides a far more effi cient browsing experience.

DD-Scientifi c has added an advanced product fi ltering tool, enabling customers to refi ne their search based on several specifi c criteria such as - but not limited to - target gas, application, sensor format and quantity of electrodes. The fi lters narrow down the options so customers can fi nd the most suitable products for their needs, saving time and facilitating better-informed purchasing decisions.

The new site also includes an intelligent search bar that provides relevant results, even for broad or incomplete queries. This is extremely useful for users with a part number or a specifi c application who need to locate suitable sensors rapidly. The intelligent search bar allows users to fi nd the products they need in a matter of seconds, therefore improving overall effi ciency and customer experience signifi cantly.

To further enhance the website’s visitor experience, DD-Scientifi c has also introduced an advanced enquiry builder, allowing users to submit detailed, customised requests by selecting specifi c products and adding notes about their application requirements. The new and streamlined communication process helps the DD-Scientifi c sales team to offer targeted, accurate responses, and help customers locate the perfect solution for their specifi c requirements.

DD-Scientifi c’s new website works perfectly on mobile devices. Customers can access the website and all of its latest features on their smartphones or tablets, making it easy to discover, examine and purchase the ideal gas sensors wherever they are. The site also has a light and dark mode option, so customers can adjust the interface to their preference, improving readability and causing less strain on the eyes.

New generation of micropower gas sensors for carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons

MIPEX NDIR gas sensors is well known in the industry as devices with extremely low power consumption. MIPEX-04 family is the leader with average consumption less than 100 µW, which gives an ability to produce portable and wireless unattended fi xed gas detectors working from 2 up to 10 years without recharging. This level of consumption is still far away from competitors. This effi ciency was paid by very special form factor sometimes diffi cult to use in small sized designs or to implement in existing housings.

New family MIPEX-05 having standard form-factor and extremely low power consumption of less than 200 µW gives engineers opportunity to enjoy micropower without unusual form-factor embarrassment.

MIPEX-05 is suitable to measure concentration of hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide. In the temperature range of -60 to +60 0

C the sensor can measure methane concentration up to 100% vol. and propane concentration up to 20% vol. Carbon dioxide can be measured up to 10% vol. in the range of -20 to +50 0 C.

Sensor is designed with complete pin layout and communication protocol compatibility with MIPEX-02 family well accepted by many gas detectors manufacturers. You can use new device just plugging in the existing printed-circuit board without need of hardware or software redesign.

Engineering samples will be available in late Q2 2024. More information online: ilmt.co/PL/344B

Blackline Safety secures largest contract in company’s history

Blackline Safety Corp. has announced its largest contract to date – an $8.5 million deal to protect 1,025 workers at a major North American midstream company.

The contract expands the company’s original $3.5 million deal with Blackline – announced in September 2023 — to protect more than 850 workers. Combined with the previous deal, Blackline devices now protect all the company’s nearly 2,000 fi eld and site workers.

The midstream company purchased 1,025 G7 wearable gas-detection and lone worker devices, along with monitoring services. It also purchased 753 G7 Bridges to keep workers connected in remote areas via satellite.

Prior to the fi rst deal, the midstream company performed a comprehensive review of all available gas detection and lone worker devices, and Blackline came out on top. The G7’s ability to tell them immediately when and where someone needs help — even in confi ned spaces and remote locations with no cellular signal — sealed the deal and the company moved to standardize on Blackline across their organization.

“We’re thrilled Blackline has become the preferred safety tech provider for this major midstream customer,” said Sean Stinson, Blackline Safety President and Chief Growth Offi cer. “Our devices are unique in the market — no other gas detection company provides real-time connectivity even in remote areas. Workers are never alone when they have Blackline at their side.”

The award-winning wearable G7 — with features such as SOS latch, fall and no motion detection, and real-time connectivity — provides a critical lifeline in case of emergency. When pairing G7x devices with G7 Bridge, which provides satellite connectivity in remote areas or regions with poor cellular connectivity, even the most remote workers are connected in real-time.

This announcement is the largest in Blackline’s history, topping the $7.8 million utility industry announcement made in late 2021. These large, enterprise deals demonstrate the depth of Blackline’s market acceptance across a variety of verticals as customers around the world realize the value of Blackline’s life-saving technology.
