Refrigerant gas detection range expanded
Bacharach announces the addition of 22 halogen refrigerants for its MGS-400 gas detectors in commercial and industrial gas leak monitoring applications. The newly added halogen refrigerants include: R1234yf, R1234ze, R134a, R22, R32, R404a, R407a, R407C, R407f, R410a, R422, R422D, R427A, R434A, R448A, R449A, R450A, R452A, R454A, R454C, R507a, R513A. Support for additional gases are in development and will be released over the next few months.
The MGS-400 series product family uses three different sensor types, depending on the measurement range, temperature and gas types when detecting for hazardous refrigerant leaks. The variety of sensor types within the product line offer signifi cant user benefi ts, including fl exibility with refrigerant leak detection and providing peace of mind when helping to protect personnel and achieve compliance with safety standards like ASHRAE 15, CSA-B52 and EN 378 inside of machinery rooms, mechanical equipment rooms, chiller plants, cold storage facilities and walk-in freezers.
Other user benefi ts include a mobile app interface for easy commissioning and maintenance without special tools and an added sensor life of 5 – 7 years with plug and play pre-calibrated sensor modules for quick, simple sensor replacement. Generating calibration certifi cates from the mobile app, makes calibration documentation easy to create and send by email or store in the cloud. A Modbus RTU interface and analogue and relay outputs enable easy safety alarming and automation control.
Bacharach continues supporting the cooling and refrigeration industries by extending its library of refrigerant gases as the refrigeration industry moves toward the use of refrigerants less harmful to the environment. More information online:

Global connected safety technology leader announces new products, partnerships and offerings at National Safety Conference
In the past month, Blackline Safety have shared several exciting announcements, many of which helped them steal the spotlight at the 2019 National Safety Council (NSC) Congress & Expo. It is one of the ways Blackline Safety endeavours to set the standard for connected worker technologies.
