22 Spotlight on Gulf Coast Conference The Gulf Coast Conference 2017

The Gulf Coast Conference is a non- profi t organisation oriented toward the education and advancement of knowledge of Chemical Analysis Technology associated with the Petrochemical, Refi ning, and Environmental fi elds, and will forward this goal through annual technical meetings, regular communications, and training courses focused on these fi elds.

Again this year, the venue will be The George R Brown Convention Center, 1001 Avenida de Las Americas, Houston, Texas, 77010.

A comprehensive programme of presentations will be included in the proceedngs. Presentations will include talks on ‘Transferring Routine Lab GC Analysis to Automatic On-Line Measurement’ and ‘Determination of Trace Sulphur by ASTM D5453 under the EPA Protocol 40 CFR Part 80. D. Section 80.47_A PBMS approach for TIER III Gasoline.’

The Show Must Go On – Despite Hurricane Harvey

GCC is still underway despite Hurricane Harvey’s efforts to delay it. As you already know Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas as a Category 4 hurricane on August 26th. Harvey has left a disastrous path creating a devastating scene in southeast Texas where countless homes have been destroyed and residents waded in fl ooded streets looking for safety. Our prayers go out to all of those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Thousands of families have been displaced and need shelter and aid. In times like these it shows how strong we are united. In an effort to help those in need GCC haveincluded a link on their GCC website if you wish to donate.

As for Gulf Coast Conference the organisers will not look at moving or delaying the event. At the time of writing, George R Brown Convention Center is sheltering over 9000 people that have lost their homes however this will not effect the GCC in October. So go ahead and make plans to head to Texas in October!

The Gulf Coast Conference’s organisers look forward to seeing you at the 2017 GCC! For More Info, email:

43800pr@reply-direct.com NEW PRODUCT SHOWCASE

The Gulf Coast Conference will sponsor a New Product Showcase to provide a forum for the introduction of new technology and innovation to our attendees. On Tuesday and Wednesday of the meeting there will be special table top displays with new products and technology for your examination. Several vendors will provide these products and personnel to describe them during specifi c times in the convention center lounge area. We are asking all Attendees to stop by and take a look at these products and complete an opinion survey about what you see. The GCC will appreciate your participation, and we know that the participating vendors will as well! Listed below are the participating exhibitors.
