32 One Test System Fits All
Narda Safety Test Solutions GmbH presents the EHP-50D isotropic field analyser, an improved version of the measuring probe for low frequency electromagnetic fields from 5 Hz to 100 kHz, which expands the measuring range of their portable, wideband NBM-550 measuring set from 5 Hz to 60 GHz. The EHP-50D probe was specially developed for assessing industrial workplaces in accordance with current international standards, and for measurements on industrial equipment. Simultaneous measurement of all three axes coupled with a dynamic range of up to 150 dB ensures that signals can be captured quickly, reliably and over a wide range. The built-in spectrum analysis feature means that measurements targeting individual events can be made while neighboring frequencies are effectively blanked out. The optical interface enables measurements to be made remote from the NBM- 550 in locations that are difficult to access or are highly exposed. Equipped with a data logger and Lithium-ion battery, the EHP-50D can also operate for up to 24 hours in stand-alone mode and the results read out to a PC on completion of the measurement. Combined with the NBM-550 field measuring set, which is used to control the EHP-50D and display the results, there are three operating modes available for different measurement tasks: wideband measurement across a frequency range, measurement of only the highest level in a frequency band, and spectrum measurement using a marker function. The EHP-50D is an ideal extension of the measuring range of the NBM-550 to allow measurements covering the entire frequency band from 5 Hz to 60 GHz when the appropriate probes are used. The range of applications for the NBM-550 thus now extends from the analysis of low frequency fields in occupational situations up to high frequency measurements on rooftop mobile phone antennas.

Expanded Scientific Vials Product Portfolio
Kimble Chase has added more than one hundred vials, septa, and closures to its scientific and packaging vial portfolio. Kimble Chase offers the most comprehensive product portfolio available for the Life Science and Chemistry market. New items include chromatography and sample storage vials in various styles (flat/conical bottom, threaded). Other useful features include attached closures and printed volume measurement lines for high recovery and security. New closures, with multiple cap and liner combinations, are available in a variety of materials with a wide range of chemical/temperature resistance properties.
Also available are various value-added services such as: custom vials manufactured in clear KIMAX® KG-33 or
amber 203 borosilicate glass to customers’ exact specifications, bar-coding, and tare weighing with supporting documentation. Laser etched barcodes for permanent sample IDs (PSID) are available in ceramic paint or adhesive labels with a range of symbologies which include codes 39, 128, I 2 of 5 and 2D data matrix.
The majority of Kimble Chase’s new and existing vials are manufactured in ISO-9001 complaint facilities in the USA. Because all glass items from the company are crafted initially from sand, product quality is monitored from raw material through finished product with full traceability.

Sturdy and Secure Sample Storage Able to withstand temperatures from -80° C to +121°C (112°F to +249°F), Scienceware®
Freezer Storage Boxes from Bel-Art Products are made
from autoclavable polypropylene and won't break down like cardboard freezer boxes due to frequent freezing and thaws. This saves users the hassle and expense of needing to replace freezer boxes, and it prevents the excess waste generated when using boxes that break down frequently. Perfect for keeping 0.5, 1.5 and 2.0ml cryo vials and microcentrifuge tubes organised on the bench, in the freezer, or during transport, they fit most standard 2" freezer racks. Each slot in the Scienceware®
Freezer Storage Boxes is identified alphanumerically for easy identification and tracking of samples.
"Clear translucent lids make sample viewing possible without opening the box lid, unlike similar boxes with clear bottoms and coloured lids," according to Lenny Hernandez, Product Manager for Bel-Art Products. "They are available with five coloured bases to easily segregate like samples by colour, and there is a 100-place box in opaque black that is ideal for light sensitive samples.
"A 'no-slide' feature in the Scienceware® Freezer Storage Boxes provides security when stacking boxes," Hernandez added. "The grooves molded
into the bottom and lid of each freezer box helps prevent slipping when stacked on the bench or anywhere around the lab." Scienceware®
Scienceware® Freezer Storage Boxes are sold in packs of five. Suggested retail for Scienceware® Suggested retail for Scienceware® 81-Place Freezer Storage Boxes have a secure fitting, lift-off, clear translucent lid and measure 14 x 14 x 4.8cmH (5.5 x 5.5 x 1.9"). The
100-Place Freezer Storage Boxes have a hinged lid with a snap tab that opens easily and closes securely. They measure 15.4 x 14.3 x 5.6cmH (6 x 537 x 2.2") with the hinges and tab, and 14.3 x 14.3 x 5.6cmH (5.7 x 5.7 x 2.2") without the hinges and tab.
81-Place Freezer Storage Boxes is $40.00/pack.
100-Place Freezer Storage Boxes is $41.50/pack. Each box size is available in blue, green, orange, purple, natural, or an assortment of all five colours. The 100-place box is also available in opaque black for light sensitive samples.
