New! Memmert Constant Climate Chamber HPP 108 with Light
The Memmert constant climate chamber literally is the brightest star of the Germany-based company’s product portfolio. In response to requests from many customers, from February 2011 on, Memmert is offering a light module for the constant climate chamber HPP 108, with which applications such as germination, plant cultivation or insect breeding will be possible under daylight conditions and under a constant climate. As an alternative, the user can choose white light with a temperature of 5,500 Kelvin or a combination of white and warm white light (2,700 Kelvin), dimmable in steps of 10%.
For this, the experts in thermostatics from southern Germany rely entirely on an energy-saving and eco-friendly LED light source, which has already been used by NASA for experiments in plant cultivation in space. Compared with conventional illuminants, LEDs benefit the environment in two ways: through their lower energy consumption right from the start and through their lower heat emission to the front, reducing the energy needed to cool the working chamber. In the constant climate chamber HPP, heating and cooling of the interior is done with high-precision Peltier technology, already used successfully by Memmert for 10 years in several different appliances. Apart from the constant climate chamber HPP, the cooled incubator IPP, the storage chamber IPS and the CDP 115 waterbath cooling unit are all based on this energy-efficient and eco-friendly technology.

Vacuum Oven VO New Concept!
From February 2011, Memmert is offering the vacuum oven VO as an attractively priced standard model which can be extended with
freely selectable options so that it can be customised precisely to meet the exact needs of the customer.
Digital pressure control for programming vacuum cycles, as well as panel heating with directly heated thermoshelves guarantee maximum time savings in the standard version, even for complex
drying processes. The Celsius software for programming and documentation, a USB interface and a chip card to save temperature profiles are included in the standard delivery.
For elaborate applications, Memmert has brought together a whole range of options and accessories in a premium module. This includes, depending on the oven size, an additional thermoshelf, two additional thermoshelf connections in the maximum configuration, as well as a programmable and digitally controlled inert gas inlet with flow rate reduction. The pump control and a printer port for direct printout of log data are also part of the premium module.

Two Environmental Test Chambers
With the highly efficient TTC temperature test chamber and CTC climatic test chamber with humidity unit Memmert provides the market with two devices that considerably shorten processes in the field of controlled material and function tests, as well as aging tests.
Sufficient reserves of power across the temperature control range of -42°C to +190°C guarantee that relevant test standards are fulfilled, such as DIN EN 60068-2-1, 2-2, 2-3 and 2-30, but also stability tests in accordance with the ICH guideline. The Memmert environmental test chambers set the benchmark in terms of temperature change speed. In just 20 minutes (to 98% of the setpoint) they heat up from -40°C to +180°C, and in the opposite direction they cool down in just 80 minutes (to 98% of the setpoint) from +180°C to -40°C. This means a temperature change speed of 10K per minute in heating operation, and 6 K in cooling operation (+ 190°C to 0°C) on average.
In order for the two appliances, with a nominal power of 7,000 Watt, to be able to work highly energy-efficient at the same time, e.g. the twin- compressor, regulated according to output, or the extremely low K-value of the insulation provide for optimised energy consumption. The 3-layer insulation system, originally developed for the aerospace industry prevents the insulation from being penetrated by moisture, thus permanently guaranteeing insulation capacity. With a chamber volume of 256 litres, the appliances are nonetheless compact and can be conveniently moved through any standard laboratory door.
