29 New Series of Refrigerated Centrifuges Offer Coolest Technology Nickel-Electro has the pleasure of announcing the release of the NE040 Series of Refrigerated Centrifuges.
The refrigerated centrifuge is suitable for use in medical, industrial and scientific applications using accessory angle head rotors for tubes, microtubes, pcr tubes and haematocrit tubes.
The maximum rotational speed of 16,200rpm produces a centrifugal force of 25,000g, using a quiet brushless induction motor. The speed can also be set in RCF and there is automatic rotor recognition for safe running speeds. Even when the rotor is running at maximum speed, the refrigerated cooling system is able to maintain 0ºC and the 'Fast Cool' function can provide a reduction in temperature from 20ºC to 4ºC in only 20 minutes.
The brake and acceleration control includes a 'Quick Run' push-and-hold function, and the rotors can be autoclaved. For safe running and use, the refrigerated centrifuge features an electronic control with a wide number of programming options, along with built-in error detection, preventing incorrect values being accidentally entered. Up to 10 programmes can be saved whilst the last program run remains stored in the memory for convenient re-use.

Fully Hermetic Cell Culture Centrifuge
Digital Ceramic Top Hot Plate Stirrers Family
The Velp Scientifica Ceramic Top Hot Plate Stirrers Family AREC, AREC.X and AREC.T are provided with a reflective white ceramic top (it can reach up to 540°C in a just few minutes), excellent for observing changes of colour (such as titrations), as well as highly resistant to alkali/acid corrosion and scratches and compatible with metallic containers and easy to clean.
Innovative design with control panel separated from the ceramic top, assuring complete safe operations. The bright red digital display visualises repeatable and accurate temperature settings and stirring function on/off.
Safety features include a ‘Hot Plate’ digital warning sign which is constantly displayed during operations when the temperature is above 50°C and flashes when the unit is switched-off until the temperature cools below 50°C.

Fast, Safe and Reliable Drying of Flash LC Fractions
The Centrifan PE by Modular SFC, Inc provides a convenient way to dry small numbers of pooled fractions from your Flash LC system. The compact instrument uses self-generated blow-down plus centrifugal force and enables safe, unattended operation. Simply place your sample tubes or vials in the rotor and close the lid to start the evaporator.
Culturefuge 400 is the latest addition to Alfa Laval’s range of hermetically designed disc stack centrifuges for harvesting mammalian cell cultures.
Handling up to 20m3/h, Culturefuge 400 is a true, production- scale centrifuge. It consists of a disk-stack high-speed separator with piping for service liquids and process liquids and includes an integrated electrical system with starter, PLC controls and pneumatic unit. A motor with an integrated VFD is standard. A steam-sterilisable pump for transport of the solids phase is an option. Culturefuge’s design is in accordance with both ASME and PED pressure vessel codes .
The centrifuge incorporates a bottom fed bowl which is completely filled with liquid to ensure that all air is excluded during cell separation. The unique hollow spindle concept allows for gentle acceleration of the feed liquid thus minimising the lysis of shear sensitive cell wall membranes while the air-free outlet reduces the risk of foaming in the centrate to a minimum.
Culturefuge can be sterilised and cleaned-in-place. The ‘dosing ring’ solids-ejecting system ensures low product losses and drier solids and flushing nozzles spray the outside of the centrifuge bowl, cyclone and the inside of the frame hood for maximum hygiene.

High Capacity High Speed Shakers
Jeio Tech, Inc under the brand Lab Companion, has introduced a new line of high capacity/high speed shakers. Using a newly engineered direct drive mechanism, almost no load is too heavy for the Lab Companion SKC shakers - even at high speeds. A large selection of models is available based on platform size and stroke diameter. Programmable motion control, LED displays, unbalanced load sensors, and self-protecting cut-off function make these shakers versatile and safe.
The SKC series offers speeds up to 500 rpm's. With a maximum orbit of 2.8" (70mm), and clamps that accommodate up to 6-litre flasks. These shakers are engineered to work hard every day, and are covered by a two-year warranty. Numerous accessory options allow users to work with a variety of flask sizes, tubes, and bottles. ‘Spring Wire Racks’ and a new ‘Dual Tiered Platforms’ are also available for added flexibility and capacity requirements. A brand new accessory – ‘Sticky Pad’ even eliminates flask clamps altogether.
Unique One-Handed Opening Microtube Due to its patented lid design, the FlipTube®
microcentrifuge tube from Elkay provides
users increased sample security with better, more efficient handling. Rather than ‘flicking’ the lid up from the front, FlipTube works by applying gentle thumb pressure to the back of the hinged lid. This eliminates two potential drawbacks related to the ‘traditional’ method of tube opening: The risk of sample contamination that may be introduced by the thumb coming into contact with the inside of the tube lid (or contents) and the requirement for using both hands to open the tube.
The award winning FlipTube resolves both of these issues, providing a safer, quicker, and more efficient working style.
