ADVERTORIAL Recirculating Chillers Improve Bioreactor Yield and Reduce Operating Cost

PolyScience offers almost two dozen recirculating chillers designed to maintain bioreactors at the constant temperature required for optimal bacterial and yeast growth. A highly reliable and cost-effective alternative to expensive, inconsistent and wasteful tap water cooling, PolyScience Benchtop Chillers and 6000 Series Chillers help ensure maximum yield in the bioproduction of pharmaceuticals, antibodies and vaccines.

PolyScience Benchtop Chillers offer a compact and easy-to-operate solution for cooling bioreactors up to 10 litres in size, maintaining temperature with ±0.1°C stability and delivering cooling capacities as high as 1610 watts. Seven different models are available; all feature a space-saving design, large easy-to-read LED display and a choice of pumps.

For bioreactors larger than 10 litres, PolyScience 6000 Series Chillers are recommended. They also maintain temperature with ±0.1°C stability and feature large, dual displays that present temperature and pressure or fl ow rate simultaneously. These chillers are available with cooling capacities as high as 2900 watts, compressor sizes from ¼ to 1 HP, and positive displacement, centrifugal, or turbine pumps.

All chillers feature readily accessible, reusable fl uid and air fi lters, which are easily removed for cleaning, helping simplify maintenance and ensuring energy effi ciency. Find the right chiller for your application with the interactive product fi nder. Or for more information, visit www.polyscience.com.

Digital Water Baths Offer Exceptional Temperature

Control and Functionality PolyScience’s line of economical general purpose water baths combine exceptional temperature control with full-featured digital functionality and ease of operation. Designed to accommodate a wide variety of clinical and laboratory

applications, these versatile water baths maintain bath temperatures from ambient +5° to 99°C with ±0.1° stability and ±0.2°C uniformity. They are available with 2, 5, 10, 20, or 28 litre single chamber reservoirs.

In addition to precise temperature control, PolyScience Water Baths feature a digital temperature readout that displays both the actual bath temperature and set point temperature simultaneously, three user-defi ned temperature preset buttons for the quick selection of frequently used temperature set points and an integrated timer. Bath temperature can be displayed in either °C or °F. For added operational convenience, all models include a steeply gabled tilting cover that accommodates glassware of varying heights and permits easy loading and removal of samples while allowing condensate to drain neatly back into the bath. A high-clearance lid is available as an accessory for larger fl asks or bottles. Baths with a 10 litre or large reservoir are also equipped with a reservoir drain. All models come equipped with a diffuser tray.
