PAB Languages ensured messages weren’t lost in translation with free lockdown offer


Translation services firm PAB Languages has stepped forward during the pandemic by offering free support to ensure organisations could share vital information about Covid-19 with non-English-speaking staff and those for whom English is a second language. The Nottingham company very


quickly recognised the importance of serving and supporting communities during the pandemic and, in March, began offering a free translation service of precautionary coronavirus-related material to businesses and organisations for internal use. The organisation felt it was important to share its expertise in the way it knew best – helping to ensure that critical health and safety messages were not lost in translation. Since March, PAB Languages has


translated more than 20,000 words from English into foreign languages as part of the complimentary offer, equating to almost 100 Covid- related messages, social media posts, text messages, public posters and signage.


With its staff working from


home, the company translated a range of important public health and safety materials into 11 different languages, including Bulgarian, French, Italian, Polish and Romanian.
