Faircracker FALL 2020
It is with great sadness, the South Florida Fair shares the news of the passing of
one of our Fair family members, Lisa Dudding. Lisa has been a member of the Fair team for 19 years and was a valued and respected employee. She performed her role as Entertainment Manager with passion and compassion. - "When I happily and proudly accepted the position of CEO of the South Florida
Fair, I didn’t give much thought to some of the really difficult things that would go along with this role. Sadly, this past month I had to do something no one wants to ever have to do.
I had to say goodbye to one of our long time, dedicated team mem-
bers, Mrs. Lisa Dudding. Lisa was an employee of the Fair for 19 years and on Sep- tember 20, she lost a long and courageous battle to cancer. Many people had no idea Lisa was even ill. She endured her chemo treatments the same way she lived life…head on and allowing nothing to get in her way" said Vicki Chouris, President & CEO of the South Florida Fair. The entertainers who worked with Lisa know how much energy she gave to
make sure their time spent at the event was enjoyable and she always made sure they had everything they needed. - "You may not have known Lisa, but if you came to our Fair, you knew her
work. Lisa booked our grounds and stage entertainment. She managed the stag- es and set the schedules for the shows. She worked non-stop all year to make sure the Fair offered entertainment that could be enjoyed by people of all ages." Vicki added. -"Lisa will be missed but her presence at future Fairs will be felt because we will continue to follow the process she put in place. She loved the South Florida Fair and would want all of us to keep enjoying the results of her labor for years to come." Lisa was a wife, mom, grandmother, sister and a daughter. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family. We all loved her dearly.
Lisa was a tireless volunteer for the Florida Federation of Fairs. She ran the Annual Live Auction and the Silent Auction for many years.
