Sonoma County, CA. ~ Laguna Explorers @ Home is an environ- mental engagement program for 6-11 year olds, full of fun learning experiences that can be done at, around, and nearby home. Community is an important com- ponent of both learn- ing and the summer camp experience. So, Laguna Explor- ers @ Home also incorporates online meetings and circle time for direct teach- ing, discussion, play, and sharing with other children and our camp staff. Environmen- tal explorations will in- clude dynamic activities

that engage the senses, ignite curiosity, stimulate scientific inquiry, and

children to do indepen- dently, with little need of parent’s time.

supply the creative en- gagement and discov- ery adventures along with the supplies and tools to culti- vate the budding naturalist in every child. Summer GUIDE #2 JOKES & Humor # 4

A mechanic was removing a cylin- der-head from the motor of a Harley motorcycle when he spotted a well- known cardiologist in his shop. The cardiolo- gist was there waiting for the service manager to come

and take a look at his bike when the mechanic shouted across the garage..

“Hey, Doc, want to take a look at this?”

The cardiologist, a bit surprised, walked over to where the mechanic was working on the mo- torcycle.

The mechanic straight- ened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, “So Doc, look at this engine. I open its’ heart, take the valves out,

repair any damage, and then put them back in, and when I finish, it works

just like new. So how come I make $39,675 a year and you get the really big bucks

($1,695,759) when you and I are doing basically the same work?”

The cardiologist paused, smiled and leaned over, then whispered to the mechanic...

“Try doing it with the engine running!”
