of netball due to an injury, the festival was a great opportunity to remain involved in sport.


When asked what Sian enjoyed about helping out at the event, she said ‘’The main thing I enjoyed was seeing how much fun the girls had when trying out all the activities. I also enjoyed being able to support the event whilst possibly inspiring other young girls to volunteer too!’’

Sian, a volunteer from Devizes school also gave a speech and introduced girls to the This Wilts Girl Can online hub, where girls can find details of classes in the activities they tried.


Sian wanted to volunteer at This Girl Can Festival as she is passionate about getting more girls involved in sport. Having enjoyed participating herself but being unable to play her favourite sport
